Bloomfield is an unincorporated community and census-designated place in Ellington and Mendon Townships, Adams County, Illinois, United States. Bloomfield is located on Illinois Route 336 about 9 miles (14 km) north of Quincy.

Bloomfield was platted ca. 1837.[3]

Bloomfield is located at 40°01′02″N 91°18′18″W / 40.017198°N 91.304947°W / 40.017198; -91.304947. According to the 2021 census gazetteer files, Bloomfield has a total area of 0.53 square miles (1.37 km2), of which 0.52 square miles (1.35 km2) (or 99.05%) is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 km2) (or 0.95%) is water.[4]

As of the 2020 census[5] there were 32 people, 18 households, and 18 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 60.95 inhabitants per square mile (23.53/km2). There were 14 housing units at an average density of 26.67 per square mile (10.30/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 96.88% White, and 3.13% from other races.
