English: The dive boatAquanaut Explorer (IMO number 7101231) anchored off The Baths on Virgin Gorda, an island in Sir Francis Drake Channel in the Virgin Islands, on 25 August 1987. The ship was built at Burton Shipyard in Port Arthur, Texas in 1964 and served as a seismic research vessel named Campeche Seal. It went into service named Aquanaut Explorer as a live-aboard dive ship in the Virgin Islands in 1986. Subsequently, it was named The Explorer in 1993, and most recently named as Atoll Explorer, when it began service as a passenger cruise ship in the Maldives. The ship's gross tonnage is 297 tons, and it is 50 metres (165 feet) long. It can accommodate 40 passengers in 20 cabins.
