Description
English: Typical polder channel and small dikes in the Netherlands. Notice that the level in the canal is much higher than the surrounding landscape. Rainwater from the land is pumped by pumping stations into this canal, and then discharges into the sea.
Nederlands: Boezem en boezemkaden in het westland (Hoogheemraadschap van Delfland). Deze kaden (regionale keringen) zijn in beheer bij het waterschap.
