English: The Isted Lion, a war monument in commemoration of the Danish victory in the Battle of Isted (1850) during the First War of Schleswig (da: Istedløven; de: Flensburger Löwe (or Idstedt Löwe); en: Isted Lion), created in 1859-60 by en:Herman Wilhelm Bissen. This picture shows the monument on the original location in Flensburg, 1862-1864.
