English: Reconstruction of the Garni temple, Armenia. The original building was from the late first century, and dedicated to Helios (in this context meaning the syncretic Helleno-Armenian cult of Helios-Mher). Following Armenia's conversion to Christianity, the building served as a summer residence of the Armenian monarchs. The structure was destroyed by an earthquake in 1679, and reconstructed from the ruins in the late 1960s-early 1970s.
