Description
English: A sceneof the Chapter "SEKI YA"(Gate Hut) of Illustrated handscroll of Tale of Genji (written by MURASAKI SHIKIBU(11th cent.). The handscroll was made in about ACE1130 and stored in TOKUGAWA Museum, Japan. The handscrolls were separated to each sections and mounted to frame for conservation. The image source is GENJI-MONOGATARI-EMAKI published by the MUSEUM, 1937.
