English: This satellite loop was taken Early on Tuesday November 17, 2020 it shows Hurricane Iota moving inland in Nicaragua from its landfall there late on November 16.
  • Hurricane Iota made landfall as Category 4 Major Hurricane with winds of 155 MPH and a Pressure of 920 MBs
  • Hurricane Iota peaked as a Category 4 Major Hurricane with 155 MPH (Thought to be a Category 5 initially with winds of 160 MPH) Iota is one of the latest Category 4 hurricanes to be recorded and one of the most intense Category 4 hurricanes in the North Atlantic Basin with a pressure of 917 Mbars when it peaked just 1 Mbar away from the record of 916 Mbars set in 1995 by Hurricane Opal.
