| Description | English: Ariyannur Umbrellas are situated in Ariyannur, Thrissur District. Ariyannur is one of the famous megalithic sites in Kerala. It has huge umbrellas stones covering the burials. Six umbrella stones stand here in a ground in a group. Of them four are intact and two are partly broken. The megalithic burials are the predominant archaeological remains of the Iron Age. The site is protected under the control of Archaeological Survey of India, Thrissur, since 1951. |
