English: A formation of four Curtiss P-40 Kittyhawk fighter aircraft from No. 84 Squadron RAAF, based on Horn Island, in flight over Thursday Island, Queensland (Australia) in December 1943. The nearest a/c is a Kittyhawk IV (P-40N-20-CU A29-618 "LB-K") while the wingmen are in Kittyhawk IIIs (P-40K-10-CUs "E", "H" & "D"). The pilots were: Flight Lieutenant W.R.C. Mcculloch "K"; Flight Sergeant D. Storey; Flying Officer (F/O) W. Collier; F/O Robertson.
