First Book is a nonprofit distributor charity organization established in 1992. First Book's mission is stated as "First Book is dedicated to ensuring that all children, regardless of their background they can succeed, by removing barriers to equitable education."^[1] First Book distributes books through its Marketplace as well as through other programs and initiatives.
