She further praised the performances of Shobhan, Muralidhar Goud and Vishnu Oi.[3] Abhilasha Cherukuri of The New Indian Express rated the film 3.5 out of 5 and wrote that "Despite remnants of the campus film genre seen across MAD, one thing sets the latter apart from the rest. There is no sappy mythologising of friendship".[4]
