Mia le Roux is a South African beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss South Africa 2024 and will represent her country at Miss Universe 2024
Background
[edit]Le Roux was born in Sasolburg, Free State in 1996 and later relocated to Oudtshoorn in the Western Cape, where she was raised.[1] Le Roux currently resides in Rosebank in Cape Town.[2]
Le Roux was diagnosed with profound hearing loss,[3] at the age of one and as result she was fitted with a cochlear implant to aid her hearing.[4]
Her educational background includes attending Oudtshoorn High School and earning a nutrition certificate from the Sport Science Institute of South Africa and an exercise specialist diploma from Eta College.[3] She is also a part-time BCom Marketing student.[5]
Le Roux works as a marketing manager and models part-time. She is studying marketing at the University of South Africa.[citation needed]
Pageantry
[edit]Miss South Africa 2024
[edit]Le Roux won Miss South Africa 2024, held at the SunBet Arena, Menlyn. Pretoria, competing against nine other contestants.[6] She had been previously announced as one of the 30 semifinalists in May 2024.[7] The final event was held on 10 August, where she was declared as the winner.[8][5]
