Oxycation
In chemistry, an oxycation is a polyatomic ion with a positive charge that contains oxygen.
Examples[edit]
- Dioxygenyl ion, O+
2 - Nitrosonium ion,NO+
- Nitronium ion, NO+
2 - Vanadyl ion, VO2+, a very stable oxycation
- Uranyl ion, UO2+
