Plectranthias gardineri is a species of fish in the family Serranidae occurring in the western Indian Ocean.[2]
Size
[edit]This species reaches a length of 3.2 cm (1.3 in).[3]
Etymology
[edit]The fish is named in honor of British zoologist John Stanley Gardiner (1872–1946), who led an expedition to the Indian Ocean in 1905, during which the type specimen was collected.[4]
