The Firing Squad is an upcoming faith-based adventure drama film written and directed by Timothy A. Chey and starring Kevin Sorbo and Cuba Gooding Jr.[1][2] It will be released by Epoch Studios, a division of The Epoch Times, a Falun Gong-affiliated newspaper.[3]
The film is releasing nationwide into theaters starting August 2, 2024. [4]

Plot
[edit]The film is based on the true story of three Christian prisoners facing execution, find unexpected solace through Jesus within the prison walls. While seizing their past they undergo a extraordinary transformation in which they discover hope, forgiveness and power to change lives.

[edit]In November 2023, it was announced that production wrapped.[7]
Gooding said when he first read the script, he wept.[8]
Release
[edit]The Firing Squad will be released nationwide in theaters on August 2, 2024.[9]
The movie also premiered in the 2024 National Religious Broadcasters (NRB) convention.[10]
