Hello
[edit]I hope you are doing well.. My motivation to message you today is that I am trying to include an article (Draft:HYPR) through the AfC process for a company that had its article deleted on february struggling with WP:NCORP-based notability (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/HYPR Corp), since it was deleted they got some significant coverage in books and media. I cited in a comment what i think are the three best sources to prove notability. Could you take a look? Sorry to bother but It's been over a month since I sent the submission. - Voting in the m:Community Wishlist Survey 2021 is ongoing until December 21, 2020. There are 15 proposals in the "bots and gadgets" category that may be of interest.
- A script to help list discussions at WP:ANRFC (request)
- A script to allow undoing edits despite conflicting intermediary edits (request)
- ...and many more, all available at Wikipedia:User scripts/Requests
- The Watchlist Expiry feature worked on by the Community Tech team has been enabled on Wikipedia. For scripts that include watching or unwatching pages, developers may want to update their code to take advantage of the new functionality. See the documentation on mediawiki.org.
- As noted in the prior issue, Enterprisey's links-in-logs script has now been implemented as part of MediaWiki core. By my count, this is his third script that was replaced by implementing the code in MediaWiki core or an extension, along with link-section-edits and abusefilter-hide-search. Additionally, his reply-link script is being converted in part to mw:Extension:DiscussionTools. Are there any other scripts that might be worth integrating directly in MediaWiki? Thoughts would be welcome at Wikipedia talk:Scripts++.

- Code to support some very old web browsers is being removed. This could cause issues in those browsers. (T277803)
- A community consultation on the Arbitration Committee discretionary sanctions procedure is open until April 25.

Tip of the Month
[edit]This tip is one of the many ways to combat spam on Wikipedia:
- On Wikipedia, articles either meet the General Notability Guideline or not. When you come across a new article, it is extremely important to determine if it is a real article, or just a spam article. Start with a search on Google, for reliable sources, if you get none in return, then look at the article for non-NPOV content, also scan the references section in the article to see what sources it uses, and check the 'other languages' section and Wikidata to see if it is on other Wikipedias. If other Wikipedias have the same content and/or a CSD or AfD tag (WP:AFD) it is likely spam or not notable, so you can then nominate it for deletion to get input, remember that CSD criterion does not always apply to these articles depending on the content/contex. Also remember to check for copyright violations via earwig's
