Romanian Top 100

[edit]

I've noticed that you are adding links to the Romanian Top 100 without archiving the link with WebCite. It's a perfectly good chart, but they no longer archive it. That means that one week after you add your link it becomes non-verifiable and is subject to removal. If you use WebCite to create a permanent copy, that problem goes away.—Kww(talk) 23:15, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bananas (album) has several examples. WebCite has a good description. You have to visit webcitation.org to tell the service what page to archive and get the URL for it.—Kww(talk) 15:00, 2 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Which article? I'll see if I can figure out what happened.—Kww(talk) 14:09, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure what happened, and will wait a week. When you archived it, your title showed that you had archived edition 46 of the chart, and edition 46 is still active. The date on the archived chart is different than today's (Aug. 3, not Aug 6). Are you sure the chart changed between when you archived it and today?—Kww(talk) 15:47, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
There's the problem: it archives the page, not the site. If you want to archive a chart position on the 4th page, you have to archive the link for the 4th page, like http://www.rt100.ro/#/?page=4 .—Kww(talk) 16:16, 6 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'd like to see the e-mail when you get it whether things work or not. This is confusing, and it's important that this works. A lot of Wikipedia articles use references to WebCite, and if they aren't archiving things correctly we need to know.—Kww(talk) 22:26, 7 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Got the e-mail. You did it right, and webcitation.org screwed up (they seem to ignore everything after a question mark in the URL). I'll contact them on Monday and see how to fix this.—Kww(talk) 14:10, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

OK, let me know if something else comes up, although I'll be away from Wikipedia until about next Sunday, so I won't be responding to any messages til then. Alecsdaniel (talk) 14:13, 8 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Cher-Believe.ogg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Top100

[edit]

At least, update the top ten and the number-ones page correctly, and let the information wrote by me as 'facts' OK? :-) And to have a deal, delete the "Parachute", "Morning After Dark" and some of the "In Love" weeks at #1, cause they were updated by BestMusic or other newspaper, that bases on UPFR/NIELSEN, not on KISS FM/MEDIA FOREST.. OK? Until you won't to that, or let me do thatm updating the information from Media Forest's weeky chart (# of airings) I won't stop modifying pages. Have a great evening :-)

If I prove I'm right - that won't be hard - you could be blocked. Is it really worth it? "Morning After Dark" was #1 also on Kiss/MediaForest, and I'll check the weeks for 'In Love' soon. By the way, use four ~ to sign yourself :D Alecsdaniel (talk) 22:13, 18 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Born This Way Ball reviews

[edit]

Sincerely, what's wrong with you? Are you a Gaga hater pretending to be a fan? You only update the Born This Way Ball page with negative reviews (yet you know the positive reviews outnumber the negative ones at least 100 times). I mean, the "critical response" section (I'm referring to the North American leg) is about to have more negative reviews than positive ones. I know it is not a fanpage and I don't mind updating the page with reviewers who didn't appreciate the show like many others did (I really don't, the negative reviews can stay there), but you never find a positive review to post and this is becoming ridiculous. Also, Bernard Perusse from Montreal Gazette gave her Montreal concert a mixed review as he states in the final that "The overall package has captured hearts." Why acting like the review was completely negative? Do you want me to write at least two more paragraphs of critics praising the show? There's no need to point out every single negative review like you're doing. Please, stop. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Marissamppaio (talkcontribs) 16:40, 13 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Madonna - papa don't preach.ogg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Madonna - papa don't preach.ogg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.

If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 11:54, 22 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Madonna - beautiful stranger.ogg

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Madonna - beautiful stranger.ogg.

Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 16:02, 13 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Select Survey Invite

[edit]

I'm working on a study of political motivations and how they affect editing. I'd like to ask you to take a survey. The survey should take no more than 1-2 minutes. Your survey responses will be kept private. Our project is documented at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Research:Wikipedia_%2B_Politics.

Your survey Link: http://uchicago.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_9S3JByWf57fXEkR?Q_DL=56np5HpEZWkMlr7_9S3JByWf57fXEkR_MLRP_5cZObda4DPHPPdX&Q_CHL=gl

I am asking you to participate in this study because you are a frequent editor of pages on Wikipedia that are of political interest. We would like to learn about your experiences in dealing with editors of different political orientations.

Sincere thanks for your help! Porteclefs (
