Request reason:

It keeps saying that this address is blocked, but my account is not blocked. I am using a shared computer at the Dallas Public Library. The Texas State Genealogical Society Conference is in Dallas this weekend, and many of us are here today working. A colleague from West Texas was going to show me how to edit Wikipedia pages so that I can add some information to my city and county pages, but that is impossible. It is saying that the entire IP is blocked, but will not allow me to submit an automated unblock appeal through the system because it alternatively says that neither the IP nor the account is blocked. However, I can't edit the sandbox. It is this IP block You are currently unable to edit pages on Wikipedia due to an autoblock affecting your IP address. This is because someone using this internet address or shared proxy server was blocked. The ability of all users on this IP address to edit pages has been automatically suspended to prevent abuse by the blocked party. Innocent users are sometimes caught in an autoblock. It may be the case that you have done nothing wrong. A user of this IP address was blocked by Doc James for the following reason (see our blocking policy): Thanks for your help. Accept reason:

I've cleared the autoblock. PhilKnight (talk) 22:27, 27 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You'll probably have to give us the IP address - and any username mentioned as being the subject of the block that's causing the problem. It's a bit hard to work things out otherwise. Your account isn't directly blocked so far as I can see. Peridon (talk) 21:57, 27 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Swiss Avenue, Dallas

[edit]

Please do not revert the Swiss Avenue, Dallas article. It was cut down because VinceLeibowitz added copyright violation material. I appreciate you wish to expend the article, but that must be done from the current base, and without the reintroduction of copyvio material. thanks --Tagishsimon (talk) 02:53, 1 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
