Hello. I just read your kingston ontario wiki page. Nicely done. The postal codes are outdated though. They only reflect the old city of kingston and not the amalgamated kingston. I'm north of the 401 on patterson rd. I'm in Kingston but my postal code is k0h1x0. Thanks! !
- Thanks for mentioning this. I didn't write this part of the article, and have no idea how to update this info. You can change this yourself if you want; just make sure you have a source/reference. I can mention this needed update on the talk page so others may be able to help. BC talk to me 03:45, 11 October 2016 (UTC)

BCATP Locations
[edit]Hi Brian,
I have designed this web page that display the locations of Canadian military installations past and present. Some of the info needs correction. I've started with the BCATP and I need to add more data.
Let me know of any wrong data and entries. Pass it along to anyone as much as possible.
Use this link.

Question for you
[edit]Hello Brian, I have been very active on Wikipedia for years, as you know, but have never published an article from scratch.
I just wrote one but it remains as a Draft; I don't know how to actually Publish it.
Draft:Fred Jacob (journalist) From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Can you provide any advice? Thanks, Peter K Burian (talk) 16:04, 18 December 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Peter, nice to hear from you. The article is no longer "draft" and has been moved by another editor to article namespace. In other words, it's already published. If you want it formally reviewed, go here: WP:Peer review or Wikipedia:Peer review/guidelines. At first glance it looks fairly good, but in the lead paragraph make sure there is some indication of why this person is truly notable or significant. This is important or the article could be deleted. Winning a poetry contest, being a reporter, being responsible for a library or being a critic really doesn't illustrate notability. Perhaps he was the first at something or invented/developed something? Also, references should be properly formatted. Right now most are just bare links. Glad you have lots of references, which is most of the battle. You also need some categories. I added one for you. BC talk to me 20:21, 18 December 2017 (UTC)

You added the note to the page "BTW, Hatch (p. 203) mentions nothing about 2 FIS having been at Claresholm" and you are correct. that statement and the one on the initial opening date were in the article prior to my involvement. Should we delete it or mark that it need citation. I am still fairly new to the whole editing thing, but I think this is a good endeavor. Your opinion? Mech1949 (talk) 15:23, 14 June 2018 (UTC)

College Success Centre
[edit]Is it possible to post about the College Success Centre? I see that the Artist in Residence is on here, so this would seem logical. See below article from global news for details on the success centre... Jeff Ridgeway is the OPI at the college at the moment. For your consideration. https://globalnews.ca/news/4014189/royal-military-college-opens-success-centre-for-students/

[edit]RCAF Station Claresholm
[edit]Hopefully I am putting this in the right spot. I was just checking my watchlist and found a couple changes that you had made on RCAF Station Claresholm. Your change had me rechecking a bunch of research that I conducted several months ago. I had found notes in the Operational Record Book of No. 15 SFTS in Clairsholm that directly contradict Mr Hatch. I have added the reference that states the school was initially opened as a sub-unit of 15 SFTS at Clarsholm in Apr then moving to their new base in Vulcan in September of that year. Just wanted to provide some clarity to avoid a editing war. Mech1949 (talk) 23:20, 15 September 2019 (UTC)
- No worries. As long as the ref explains this and the new information is cited so that this information isn't contested. This other reference does mention that it was formed at Vulcan: http://heritage.canadiana.ca/view/oocihm.lac_reel_c12325/457?r=0&s=6 though. Was it truly labeled 2 FIS at Claresholm? If it wasn't called 2 FIS at Claresholm can we truly say it was formed there? Cheers!-- BC talk to me 23:46, 15 September 2019 (UTC)
- I looked at the Daily Diary reference you provided at the Claresholm article and didn't see any information about 2 FIS being a subunit of 15 SFTS. Perhaps you copied the wrong link?-- BC talk to me 23:54, 15 September 2019 (UTC)

Edit revision on the San Benedetto Po page
[edit]Hello, I noticed you cancelled my edit on the page of San Benedetto Po, Italy, and while you are correct in saying that the population data I put was unsourced, I know for sure the population count is not nearly as high as you put (I've lived there). I am new to Wikipedia editing, and I'm still really trying to find out how sources work, so could you please change it back/restore it to what it was before my edit? Thanks in advance Fre 798 (talk) 21:12, 13 February 2024 (UTC)
- You’re right, it can’t be that high. Looks like someone last year vandalized the page. I’ll change it back. However, your figures must have come from somewhere, and if so, you can easily mention the source. These sources are placed on the page. See wp:RS for details on what a source is. Battle of Queenston Heights
[edit]Brian Crawford -
Sir -
Please be so kind as to explain fully why you reverted both Brock and Sheaffe additions as your statement is definitely incorrect about the latter -
This double addition has been entered before then incorrectly removed tree times -
Do you know any Canadian / British military history as you really should not be arbitrarily removing entries unless you know / are well aware of true facts -
You only needed to check each biography for what we entered about both of these officers when Wikipedia began years ago.
We are military historians who lectured / led tours around Queenston Heights decades ago.
Shall expect an explanation and restoration for both removed names at your convenience -
Do hope above was ' friendly ' enough for you.
Thank You - 69.159.70.82 - 69.159.70.82 (talk) 00:34, 4 July 2024 (UTC) -
- I removed the “Sirs” because they weren’t consistent with the rest of the article where the "Sir" isn't associated with the name. Although he indeed was not knighted as I mentioned in the edit summary, a baronet is addressed by "Sir". My bad.-- BC talk to me 01:14, 4 July 2024 (UTC)
- Brian Crawford -
- Sir -
- Possibly you as well as a number of you far too many other unknowing Wikipedia editors should slow down to first do some proper research / learning some important things before instantly making all these far too many unprofessional reverts which are driving many people away from entering correct / proper / true / accurate facts / figures / data.
- Thank You.
- - 69.159.70.82 - 69.159.70.82 (talk) 13:38, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- Criticizing like this isn't recommended on Wikipedia and is "unprofessional". Mistakes happen. BTW, as far as your "true accurate facts" are concerned, Sheaffe would not have been known as "Sir" until awarded his baronetcy in January 1813, so your edit has been partially reverted.-- BC talk to me 17:06, 5 July 2024 (UTC)
- Brian Crawford -
- Sir -
- The Colonel has now gone back over to the base for outgoing late evening flights to the war zone in Europe however he would wish a response go out to your most recent above entry now on his behalf -
- If you were at all aware of any correct history you should know once a person is named as a - Sir / Lord / Baron / Duke / etc. -, and is deceased, it then does not matter at all as to when this occurred in time -
- Actually, when you get down to brass tacks you are the one who is not acting in a professional manner so should expect some proper criticism at times like this -
- This, then, will be final return in this rather small, somewhat insignificant matter as it is not worthy going around and around any further with someone who is terribly uneducated / absolutely ignorant to straight historical facts.
- Therefore, no follow up from your end is necessary.
- Thank You
