Welcome!

[edit]

Hello Fletch the Mighty, welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Our intro page contains a lot of helpful material for new users—please check it out! If you need help, visit Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on this page and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. ...is actually a hoax. Mill United is an amateur club and will never get near the UEFA Champions (unless they are sitting watching...). He was also voted "World's Best Goalkeeper" at 5 years old.... (It pays to do a quick Google with these things. I do a lot with new accounts, and would like to welcome you to the fray.... Keep up the good work.) Peridon (talk) 16:24, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I didn't read the article very thoroughly, but it didn't sound right anyway. And thanks for the reminder about Google... I hadn't actually thought of that. Fletch the Mighty (talk) 16:37, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Keep a count of reverts - don't fall foul of 3RR... Peridon (talk) 17:03, 28 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The Last Ride (2010 movie)

[edit]

Just to let you know, I've declined your request for speedy deletion of The Last Ride (2010 movie). Movies, books, and recordings are not subject to criterion A7 (though music can be subject to A9). Normal deletion avenues such as proposed deletion or articles for deletion discussion are available, though. —C.Fred (talk) 14:48, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

OK, thanks. I wasn't quite sure what to put it under, and you're right that A7 isn't really what it's for. Thanks! I'll be sure not to do it again. Fletch the Mighty (talk) 17:22, 29 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Help

[edit]

If you are free, help me review Prehistory of Burma article. I doubt whether the information I have written reflects mainstream viewpoint or not. Soewinhan (talk) 17:00, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This isn't really my area of expertise... I can take a look at the article's writing if you'd like, but I don't think I'm the right person to tell if it reflects the mainstream POV or not. Fletch the Mighty (talk) 17:07, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I was actually responding to User:Hybernator talk-page. I clicked on your talk page link from your message at Hybernator talk page and wrong talk pages! Sorry for that confusion. But please don't be quick to assume someone as socks :) Soewinhan (talk) 04:34, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re

I do find that somewhat suspicious, although not definitive by any means. Definitely something to keep an eye on. The Blade of the Northern Lights (話して下さい) 17:37, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hiya, thanks for your notice. I suspect them to be the same person especially because User:Soewinhan talk page says he will not be able to contribute anything until 2012. As soon as my edit dispute with User:Hybernator started, User:Soewinhan popped out of nowhere and started commenting 3RR reports and started creating confusion. Okkar (talk) 17:59, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not happy with just leaving it, so I've started an SPI - You may wish to elaborate at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet_investigations/Hybernator  Ronhjones  (Talk) 20:48, 17 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oops. Do whatever you like. I have a practice of checking user contributions and talkpages whenever in dispute with me. And I found Okkar deliberately trying to defame The Irrawaddy. Since I have seen a dispute between two editors, I attempt to resolve from the right side. Also, the message "I will not be able to contribute anything until 2012" is not uncommon at my talk page. I also placed several retired tags and deleted them again. Anyway, Checkuser will find the right things. If you are still in doubts, see our edits at Sino-Burmese War and its talk page. It is user:Okkar who has at least five confirmed sockpuppets. Soewinhan (talk) 04:44, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The above claim made by Soewinhan regarding so called five confirmed socks, please see the final conclusion reached by the admin - the decision was not as Soewinhan made out to be, therefore I'm not going to protest my innocent here again as it has already been proven. As usual Soewinhan just try to create confusion as he did on various other ANI and 3RR complaints.Okkar (talk) 08:50, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
This case has been closed; while it is clear that the accounts in question, if not sockpuppets, were meatpuppets of you. Canvassing for others to come to Wikipedia to support your disagreements is absolutely not allowed. Since they have not edited since their brief contributions to the discussion, however, I am choosing not to place any blocks for now. Be aware, however, that if you continue in this manner, blocks will certainly be appropriate. -- Natalya 13:38, 7 February 2007 (UTC) And you said you are innocent?
User Fletch the Mighty; sorry to disturb you. I shouldn't use your talkpage to reply the comment from Ronhjones and Okkar. Soewinhan (talk) 16:08, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It's all right, although I'd appreciate it if you avoided it in the future! :) As I said, my observation hardly proves anything, but it was an extremely odd experience for me, and I felt that if it was important, it should be put out there for public view. Hope you understand. Fletch the Mighty (talk) 17:18, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What can we do about these bad names?

[edit]

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:International_reaction_to_Fukushima_I_nuclear_accidents#Move.2FName_Change:_Accident_.2B_Disaster_.3D_Incident_or_Emergency.3F Can I ask about this?Geofferybard (talk) 09:00, 18 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think we should try to centralize discussion on this at the section on Talk:Fukushima I nuclear accidents, so I put my two cents in there. Once we come to a decision about that article, then I suppose it'd only be logical to change International reaction to Fukushima I nuclear accidents as well.
