Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Gray Civic Center has been reverted.
Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline from Wikipedia. The external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. I removed the following link(s): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tv0kJqBQIls// (matching the regex rule \byoutube\.com). If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy and therefore probably should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file. Video links are also strongly deprecated by our guidelines for external links, partly because they're useless to people with slow internet connections.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. About Last Night (2014 film)

[edit]

I've redirected the article for About Last Night (2014 film) to the parent article for the play that the original film was based on. The thing about the upcoming film is that it doesn't currently pass notability standards for unreleased films. Notability is hard enough to pass in general for films, but it's especially hard to pass for unreleased films because they have to be exceptionally notable. None of the sources show that the film passes WP:NFILM and some of them wouldn't really be considered to be sources that Wikipedia considers to be reliable or extend notability. Here's a rundown of the sources:

  1. [1] This isn't the type of source that Wikipedia would consider to be reliable. It also doesn't help that it comes from another source (Deadline) that just says routine "so and so will direct" type of talk. The Deadline source would be usable, but there's sort of a catch about instances where the sources are only about hiring people to star in or create the film. More on that later.
  2. [2] This is a good source and it could help contribute towards notability, but the thing about this sort of source (and the Deadline source) is that this just sort of sets the groundwork for the film. They don't say that filming has commenced or completed and the thing about anything in the entertainment world is that a film can get started, even begin some filming, but never actually get completed. Sometimes such films can become notable, but it's very, very rare. If all you have are sources that say that such and such a person has been signed in some aspect, that's not enough to show notability for a film.
  3. [3] This gives a release date, but the thing is that release dates can and do get changed all the time. Sometimes it's just to take advantage of a good release date, other times it's due to conflicts with the film that cause it to not be ready for its projected time of release. For this reason release dates cannot guarantee a film's release or give notability. In any case, BOM would be seen as a trivial source and trivial sources cannot show notability.
  4. [4] This is another source that just says someone is joining the cast.
  5. [5] This is one of those sites that seems to be so much like a blog that it might not be usable as a RS per Wikipedia's rules for reliable sourcing. Because it runs that fine line, it's the type of thing I'd recommend avoiding using as a reliable source. The thing about RS is that even if a site looks good, has been around for a while, and has a fan following, that doesn't necessarily mean that it's considered to be a reliable source. It's the type of thing I'd run through the reliable sources noticeboard before using.
Basically put, there isn't enough notability to show that this film passes notability guidelines at this point in time. I can't even find evidence that this movie has started or completed principal photography, which is one of the big requirements for an unreleased film. Because of this, I've redirected the page once again. Please do not unredirect it. If you want to push the point then we can always run it through AfD, but odds are high that it'll just get deleted (or incubated at best) and the page once again redirected to the entry for the play. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 16:45, 4 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • Again, please stop deleting the redirects. This film is not yet notable and if you do this again, I'll be forced to take this to AfD where this article will be deleted because it does not pass notability guidelines. I'd much rather keep the article history intact and redirect rather than drag this through the AfD process. I'm not trying to threaten, rather just let you know the reality of the situation is that this does not pass notability guidelines and will not survive an AfD process. File permission problem with File:Original N.W.A members with actors from the "Straight Outta Compton" film.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Original N.W.A members with actors from the "Straight Outta Compton" film.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to [email protected].

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 10:57, 15 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Dope (2015 film), and it appears to include material copied directly from http://musicmadame.com/2015/01/22/watch-aap-rocky-in-trailer-for-debut-film-dope/.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. Please don't assume that people are knowledgeable about everything that is covered by WP. Membership of the band N.W.A includes Arabian Prince, and that is what the sentence in the introductory paragraph says. Removing this piece of information, which is not known to "everyone," contrary to your claim, is against WP:NPOV and could be interpreted as WP:EW. Cheers. esse quam videri - to be rather than to seem (talk) 12:44, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

This article is not about the group N.W.A but about the film "Straight Outta Compton", which from press releases and promotional material, focuses on Eazy-E, Dr. Dre and Ice Cube. MC Ren and DJ Yella are even afterthoughts. Arabian Prince hasn't been mentioned as a major character in the film. People who want to become knowledgeable about the history of the group should visit the N.W.A page. I think that myself, Universal Pictures (the distributors of the film and source of most of the intro) and others who have reverted your edits, don't feel Arabian Prince's contribution to the group is significantly covered in this film.
The movie is a biopic, which depicts the history of the band N.W.A, thus it IS about the group. It's a fact that Arabian Prince was a founding member. Please note that it is irrelevant what you, Universal Pictures or anybody else "feels", only verifyable and sourced facts are. If you further engage in edit warring and POV pushing, I will have to report you -- it seems that you are unfamiliar with how WP works, given the other comments on your talk page. Please familiarize yourself by testing the sandbox first, before editing. Thanks. esse quam videri - to be rather than to seem (talk) 21:48, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Soooo... where is your source that states Arabian Prince is even mentioned in this film? Universal press release (which is the synopsis on the page)states that THIS FILM is about "When five young men translated their experiences growing up into brutally honest music that rebelled against abusive authority." Five... not six. The article is not about the group, but THE FILM. Familiarize yourself with THE FILM'S background and content before you interject unsourced information about THE FILM. You have not provided the first reference that mentions Arabian Prince and "Straight Outta Compton" film on the same webpage. THE FILM'S press release, the film's official website, the film's trailer, the film's official facebook page, ALL show NO mention of Arabian Prince, NO picture of Arabian Prince, NO picture of the actor portraying Arabian Prince. He was a member of the group, that is a fact, but THIS FILM is about the "five young men" in the group after he left the group. What about WP I am familiar with is that all information must have a credible source, which your edits to THIS FILM'S WP page do not have. Now... If YOU further engage in edit warring and POV pushing, I will have to report YOU. Thank you. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing.
WP:NOT You have taken promotional material and text, and entered it into an article, in spite of the links I had provided. WP:PROMOTION is a violation of WP guidelines. The actor portraying Arabian Prince is included in the cast list on IMDb. Press releases and promotional material are not neutral sources and thus not valid, particularly not if you copy them verbatim, as they are copyrighted. Please revert your edit, feel free to add that the movie focuses on five of the six members et al, but do not suppress information, as otherwise I will have to go through with reporting you. Cheers. esse quam videri - to be rather than to seem (talk) 00:36, 6 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Just for the record, as you have already seen it and written a response -- here is the link to the report I filed: [6]. Cheers. esse quam videri - to be rather than to seem (talk) 21:56, 7 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Do you know what co-star means. It means to star along side someone. There are several stars in this flim. I don't know why you are singling Quincy Brown out and calming he has a minor role in the film when he infact has a staring role along side Zoe Kravitz, Tyga, and Chanel Iman who plays a minor role of his character Jaleel's sister. The fact that you are basing your edits based on posters is just ridiculous but on the official poster on the films website his name is on that poster. http://www.youaredope.com/ There are about six posters for the films.I am going to report it to the administrators noticed board and have them intervene if you keep making agenda based edits. Why are you editing warring a bring source that said he has a minor role or reason why his name should not be listed along the people with staring roles when he plays a major role in the film and is in posters and promotional advertisements along side his co-stars.

107.188.31.199 (talk) If you click here, WP states that an actor's name used in the article "should be credited by the name they were using professionally at the time the film was made." This actor is being credited as "Quincy Brown" in this film. If you look here, and stroll down to 'starring', WP states "Insert the names of the actors as they are listed in the billing block of the poster for the film's original theatrical release". The poster on this page for this article does not list "Quincy Brown". If there is another official theatrical release poster that contains this actors name, please upload it to the article and THEN you can can change the information in the film's infobox. Thank you. A tag has been placed on File:ThePerfectGuyTheatricalPoster.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit]

Information icon Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give Barbershop 3 a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. czar 14:49, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see any personal attacks worth fighting about, but you appear to have violated WP:3RR at List of 2016 box office number-one films in the United States. You need to discuss your concerns on the article's talk page, rather than reverting over and over again. You might be right, you might be wrong, but no one will care if you are right when you're edit warring over it. When your block expires, you need to discuss issues rather than revert repeatedly. Please don't mess with my contributes to List of 2016 box office number-one films in the United States. Adding each time Deadpool becomes the 4th or 3rd highest grossing R-rated film is extremely redundant on top of that PabloBeal fixed it too make more sense. Now stop--Fruitloop11 (talk) 02:13, 4 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Since I will now be reporting you for harassing me, please do not edit my talk page or contact me in any way. If you have a problem with any of my edits, please discuss them on the article's talk page and come to a consensus with other editors before you revert them. Again, stay off my talk page, sir or madam. This will be your only warning. Thank you. HENDAWG229 (talk) 03:00, 4 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission to arbcom is going to be soundly rejected before I get my coffee this morning. And my instructions of "Don't edit war" and "Discuss it on the talk page" seem to have been interpreted by you as "Continue to edit war over slightly different things, and don't start a talk page discussion until this is submitted at arbcom"... which is absolutely not how this works. So now the article is fully protected - which means that it'll be inaccurate for a while while this dispute over one tiny statement in one tiny section of a very large and growing chart can be worked out. I wager that the only reason you're not blocked at this point is because I was not here to do the blocking. So here's what needs to happen now - you need to make a serious effort to find a compromise at the article's talk page - not your talk page, not mine, but Talk:List of 2016 box office number-one films in the United States. Until that consensus is clear, as determined by myself or another admin, you don't touch Deadpool being the highest grossing ANYTHING. Continue to edit war and You will be blocked from editing. Cut it out. UltraExactZZ Said ~ Did 12:25, 4 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

On 6 May 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Devin Fuller, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that American football player Devin Fuller toured as a youngster with singer Luther Vandross? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Devin Fuller. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Devin Fuller), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. You need to do this properly, and open a WP:RM discussion – stop moving the article, as per WP:RM#CM, and start a proper RM discussion. --IJBall (contribstalk) 04:44, 22 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
  • User:Amaury Not making unconstructive or disruptive edits. Like I said when I made my edits, all of Perry's plays, movies, tv shows, etc. are tagged with "Tyler Perry's" before the title. The "official title" can be added in the lead or "also known as" but it is not needed for the article's title. It's the same with Disney. The official title of their movies are Disney's The Lion King & Disney's Frozen, but the WP article title is without the Disney tag. If you change the title of this show, that means the title of ALL his stage plays, movies, TV shows, books, whatever need to be changed. And... I'm not edit warring with anyone. Don't have time for that. This is all I have to say on this subject. Edit the articles anyway you all like & please do not reply or post anything else on my page. Thank you. The point is, the correct way to handle this, esp. after your move was reverted, was to then open a WP:RM discussion – that discussion would then determine whether your position has consensus or not. FTR, I am actually more inclined to agree with your position on this. But edit warring is not the way to handle it – a WP:RM discussion is. --IJBall (contribstalk) 07:09, 22 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2020 Elections voter message

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2020 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 7 December 2020. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2020 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:28, 24 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Veterans Park Amphitheater Albany GA.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Veterans Park Amphitheater Albany GA.jpg.

Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 20:35, 30 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
