Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at Greatest Hits (Aerosmith album). Binksternet (talk) 07:14, 5 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Aerosmith's Greatest Hits was released in October, 1980. I remember seeing the release date on Aerosmith's discography on one of their books at the library. I'm only editing things that I believe that are incorrect. If my memory is incorrect, how did you know that Aerosmith's Greatest Hits Was released on November 11, 1980? I'm only trying to give out the best correct answer information there is. Hinkgoyd (talk) 07:36, 5 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Hinkgoyd, click "More details" at https://www.riaa.com/gold-platinum/?tab_active=default-award&se=AEROSMITH%27S+GREATEST+HITS#search_section and see the first sentence of the "Release and reception" section. This reference is used in the article to prove the release date. If there is a reliable book that says otherwise, please properly cite it (see WP:INTREF and WP:BURDEN). To avoid an edit war, please do so on the talk page of the article, not in the article itself, when there is a dispute. ~ ToBeFree (talk) 07:45, 5 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
