Welcome!

Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. The following links will help you begin editing on Wikipedia:

Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome!

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Yamashita: The Tiger's Treasure, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Yamashita: The Tiger's Treasure. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. CorenSearchBot (talk) 20:05, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.

Yamashita: The Tiger's Treasure (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver)
added links to English, Japanese, Sound mixing, Filipino, Cinemagic and MMFF
Bulong (film) (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver)

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Mila (2001 film), and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://en.wikipilipinas.org/index.php?title=Mila.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) Hi. I'm afraid that your rewrite of the plot remained too close to the one in the WikiPilipinas article. We can't copy content from them, and we can't follow what they have too closely. They're no longer compatibly licensed with Wikipedia. You're welcome to add a plot description, but please start from scratch and explain what happens in the movie in your own words. Plots can't be copied from other websites, even official ones, I'm afraid. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 23:12, 24 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. I noticed your recent edit to Star Cinema does not have an edit summary. Please provide one before saving your changes to an article, as the summaries are quite helpful to people browsing an article's history. Thanks! Drmies (talk) 02:41, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Star Cinema. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware, Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made; that is to say, editors are not automatically "entitled" to three reverts.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Drmies (talk) 02:41, 10 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Yamashita the tiger's treasure.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Yamashita the tiger's treasure.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. File:Azkals logo.JPG listed for deletion

[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Azkals logo.JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Banana Fingers (talk) 19:04, 14 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

So you got another person saying its fan made!! And it is!! There you go!! Tirade?!?! LOL!!!! You're deluded!! You can't even figure out that is fan made yet you're accusing me of having an agenda?!?! LOL!! Go buy yourself a brain and maybe, just maybe we'll be able to talk!! Banana Fingers (talk) 18:44, 15 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
I will not indulge in your personal attacks. I do not contribute to the Wikipedia just to hurt someone's feeling, as long as i'm assuming good faith, I have nothing to lose. Whether the image will be deleted or not, at the end of the day, i'll be the one who'll be happy because I know that I have a proper manner and etiquette. Hollyckuhno (talk) 06:16, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
If you're "hurt" from me telling you that you can't seem to figure out that what you uploaded was fan made and that you need to sort yourself out.... then you've got some serious issues that you need take care of! lol. It also begs the question... how do you get by in everyday life?! It sure beats me! Banana Fingers (talk) 08:12, 16 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You're so overdramtic its untrue!! But I guess it goes hand-in-hand with you being so sensitive to criticism! I also bet you're one of them people that never gave a rats ass about football and when the Philippines national team overachieved in 2010, you jumped on the bandwagon. lol! Banana Fingers (talk) 09:11, 17 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Untrue? what untrue? hmm. It seems that you are now getting away from our point here. The only truth here is I am a real football fan but not particularly to Philippines National Football Team. If you'll just take time to see my contributions timeline, I have never been involved in any football articles before. The only truth here is I know the football team well because i'm a Filipino living in the Philippines who watches sports and news, reads newspaper, and browses the internet on a regular basis. I'm not sensitive to criticism in fact (thanks to user HTD) I am now ready to stop this conversation until I've got a full proof. Happy? --HollycK (talk) 23:40, 18 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
You're not even familiar with the expression ".....its untrue"?!? lol. And you're ready to stop this conversation until you've got "a full proof"? Say what?!?! My initial thoughts were right. Dealing with a person like you is like dealing with a brick wall. Banana Fingers (talk) 19:21, 19 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
So I was right all along. This is not about the logo's nature anymore, this is now about your self centered ego and your I know-it-all habit. You're mad because you didn't succeed on removing the image and because of me commenting on your manners and conduct. Well if that's the case in here, then I have no time for you, I don't deal with people that doesn't seem to understand simple things. If you had just started this right and not with your foul tirades, then maybe we haven't have any problem on the first place because me, myself have no problem debating with people. The only problem here is your out-of-line point and nonsense opinions. Maybe you should start changing yourself first before posting any comments on Wikipedia (Wikipedia is not a forum) because this conversation is not about you. Please bear that on your mind. --HollycK (talk) 21:55, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
LOL!! Yeah yeah yeah.... whatever... Why would I be mad?! I'm frustrated as hell though because like I said, dealing with a person like you is like dealing with a brick wall! You can't even realize that what you've uploaded is some random fan made logo and your insistence in your opinion which you are trying to pass as fact is just laughable to say the least and it's also why the discussion can't seem to go anywhere! It's clearly you that needs to look in the mirror and start changing yourself! Banana Fingers (talk) 21:32, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nonfree content on your userpage

[edit]

Per the policies on the usage of non-free images on Wikipedia, non-free images are not allowed on pages outside of the article namespace, including userpages. Two images on your user page is copyrighted and unlicensed, so I had to remove them. I'm sorry if you are upset by my editing your page without your permission, but this is a rule where Wikipedia allows no exceptions. I want to make sure you know that this isn't personal. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions, or to seek another editor's opinion at the WP:MCQ discussion board.

License tagging for File:Jollibeeonglee.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Jollibeeonglee.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 18:05, 5 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Why was this removed?

[edit]

Hi, can I just ask why you removed this edit here?. I don't think that it was necessary. Look at The X Factor (UK) and The X Factor (U.S.) for example. I'm just following The X-Factor's series template. Even The X Factor (Australia) has it. Masterpeace3 (talk) 05:17, 1 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not a directory. It is already stated and linked on the body of the article so why put it on top? Hollyckuhno (talk) 16:11, 1 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Because it's only listed as 1 in the article, so it would kind of make it hard for people to find it. I think that we should follow the structure of the other articles. I will change it to One in words instead. Masterpeace3 (talk) 23:40, 4 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on The Voice of Philippines, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

Request to delete this redirect just in case that the name of the show will be this and not the current article name, The Voice (Philippines)

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Proposed blackout in protest of RA 10175

[edit]

Dear Hollyckuhno,

Greetings!

As a Filipino Wikipedian, I hope you are aware of the passage of Republic Act No. 10175, also known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012, which was signed into law by President Benigno Aquino III on September 12, 2012. Currently, there is a discussion on the Tambayan, the noticeboard for Philippines-related topics, about a proposed blackout of the English Wikipedia in the Philippines in order to protest the passage of RA 10175, similar to the blackout against SOPA and PIPA held earlier this year. I feel that your input on the subject will definitely help in the discussion.

Please feel free to participate in the discussion at Wikipedia talk:Tambayan Philippines#The Cybercrime Prevention Act, and I hope your input will help the Filipino Wikipedia community determine which is the best course of action against this law. Similarly, we hope to get as much input from as many Wikipedians as possible.

Thank you and maraming salamat po!

Kind regards,

Replaceable fair use File:Pilitac.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Pilitac.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. VernoWhitney (talk) 15:33, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:STAR CINEMA logo.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:STAR CINEMA logo.jpg.

Orphaned non-free media (File:Star Cinema logo.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Star Cinema logo.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. I also need help with a personal message for the Tagalog Wikipedians. If you are able to help in any way, either reply here, or head over to TranslationCentral. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Honor Thy Father (film)

[edit]

Hi. Please read WP:MOSFILM, esp. WP:FILMRELEASE. The release date in the infobox is for a) the first release and b) the first domestic release. In this case, it's for the debut at Toronto only, as it's not yet been released domestically in the Philippines. Thanks. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 10:17, 3 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Again, please read the links I've posted, above. I see you doing the exact same edits as another user did to this article, so I suspect you of being a sock account too. This could lead you to being blocked. Thanks. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 09:40, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I noted in my revision that the MMFF premiere is the first commercial domestic release of Honor Thy Father. Hollyckuhno (talk) 11:32, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Follow up if I may, I have read the guidelines carefully and it clearly states that 1) The release date should be the earliest release date in the country the film originated 2) Screenings like the one in TIFF is excluded. Hollyckuhno (talk) 11:49, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop - this is your only warning. I'm quite happy to take you to WP:3RR to get you blocked (or for being a sockpuppet). Did you read the film MOS? You do know that you should not pipe "cinema of Philiphines" in the lead too? Thanks. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 11:56, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You're the one who needs to stop. The only thing you have been doing so far is warn me without even considering my points. Obviously you just keep reverting my edits because your ego was hurt. You can't accept that you're wrong. Wake up and please carefully read WP:MOSFILM and WP:FILMRELEASE. As for WP:3RR be careful because you're the one who keeps on reverting my edits without bases. Hollyckuhno (talk) 12:59, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

That is true. I did not say that it isn't. But the guideline states that screenings and previews are excluded. The guideline also states that the earliest release date in the country the film originates (produced) should be the one listed. You're the one being funny. Hollyckuhno (talk) 13:51, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I'll spell it out as you can't see it. WP:FilmRelease - "Release dates should therefore be restricted to the film's earliest release, whether it was at a film festival..." TIFF was on 12 Sept 2015. Now, I don't know what calendar you have, but on mine 12 Sept 2015 is before 25 Dec 2015. Read the rest of the guidance carefully and you'll see it's the first release (festival, whatever) then the first release in the country it was produced in. Lugnuts Dick Laurent is dead 13:56, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Then I will also spell it out for you in full - "Release dates should therefore be restricted to the film's earliest release, whether it was at a film festival, a world premiere, or a public release, and the release date(s) in the country or countries that produced the film, excluding sneak previews or screenings. Take note of the country or countries that produced the film and excluding sneak previews or screenings Hollyckuhno (talk) 14:02, 4 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
