Hello I am new here! --Horai 551 (talk) 11:12, 13 October 2012 (UTC)
Welcome!
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, Horai 551! Thank you for your contributions. I am AutomaticStrikeout and I have been editing Wikipedia for some time, so if you have any questions feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. You can also check out Wikipedia:Questions or type {{helpme}}
at the bottom of this page. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that will automatically produce your username and the date. I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! AutomaticStrikeout 14:55, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
Thank you for joining the project. Welcome aboard! AutomaticStrikeout 14:56, 20 October 2012 (UTC)
- Well, this page contains information about the different quality levels. I'd imagine that an article changes levels on the scale as the article itself changes. However, I'd suggest that you raise your question at the Teahouse for a more informed answer as I'm not the most educated person on that subject. AutomaticStrikeout 02:01, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
Hi, and welcome to WikiProject Articles for creation! We are a group of editors who work together on the Articles for creation and Files for upload pages.
A few tips that you might find helpful:
- Please take time to fully read the reviewers' instructions before reviewing submissions.
- The reviewers' talk page is the best place to ask for help or advice. You might like to watchlist this page, and you are encouraged to take part in any discussion that comes up.
- Article submissions that need reviewing can be found in Category:Pending AfC submissions and there is also a useful list which is maintained by a bot.
- You might wish to add {{AFC status}} to your userpage, which will alert you to the number of open submissions. There is also a project userbox. If you haven't done so already, please consider adding your name to the list of participants.
- Several of our members monitor the #wikipedia-en-help connect IRC channel, and you are welcome to join in to ask Wikipedia-related questions.
- The IRC channel #wikipedia-en-afc connect is used occasionally for internal discussion regarding the Articles for Creation process, and also serves as a recent changes feed, displaying all edits made in the Articles for Creation namespace.
- The help desk is the place where new editors can ask questions about their submissions. You are welcome to help in answering their questions.
Once again, welcome to the project. CURTAINTOAD! TALK! 22:00, 27 October 2012 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for November 4
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Nintendo Gamebooks, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Scholastic (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Citations
[edit]Hey Horai, can you remember to fill in the date field when you're citing sources? All web citations should have at least a title, url, last/first name (author), date it was published, publisher/work, and accessdate. And remember to follow the date/citation style on the article page. For example, on Minecraft, we are using the mdy date format, so please fill them out in that format if you haven't already. Thanks - M0rphzone (talk) 22:40, 21 November 2012 (UTC)

Working out the details at Wikipedia:Today's article for improvement
[edit]The RFC for TAFI is nearing it's conclusion, and it's time to hammer out the details over at the project's talk page. There are several details of the project that would do well with wider input and participation, such as the article nomination and selection process, the amount and type of articles displayed, the implementation on the main page and other things. I would like to invite you to comment there if you continue to be interested in TAFI's development. --NickPenguin(contribs) 02:33, 8 January 2013 (UTC)
- I'm not so great in suggesting, but I will try to be involved a little bit.Horai 551 (talk) 12:14, 9 January 2013 (UTC)

Revising the nominations process at Wikipedia:Today's article for improvement
[edit]I'm seeking wider input on a proposed redesign of the nomination process over at TAFI. The current method could benefit from some streamlining and usability tweaks. If you feel so inclined, I'd like to hear your opinion on the matter. --NickPenguin(contribs) 23:01, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
