Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add content (particularly if you change facts and figures) please cite a reliable source for the content you're adding or changing. This helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses novel, unpublished syntheses of previously published material. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your information. Thank you. Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did to False Creek Ferries. Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 15:23, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Expanding beyond pages where you have COI

[edit]

Have you considered expanding your editing beyond the pages where you have a conflict of interest? I see you clearly have a passion around ships and boats. Perhaps some of the articles not related to False Creek Ferries, but related to other ships and boats would be a good place to edit a bit? There is a list of articles that could use your help [1]. ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 15:31, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Certainly, I will look for some maritime related articles I can add too. As I have tried to explain, I have no COI, I just happen to live near False Creek and I travel frequently on the False Creek Ferries and Aquabus. --Igwwgi (talk) 02:42, 10 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Interesting that at other times you have posted that you know the owner of False Creek Ferries, and were trying to help get the online presence updated. In any case.... ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 04:37, 10 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Purely through use of the services. As a fellow "concerned vancouverite", I'm sure you can understand my interest in raising awareness of what I believe to be a truly Vancouver experience, a perennial favourite of visitors and locals alike, both Aquabus and False Creek Ferries. --Igwwgi (talk) 06:19, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is not meant for promotion/PR at all. ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 15:25, 12 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yes I understand. This is not promotion. This is information just like any other wikipedia article. I don't understand your incredibley confrontational stance. By raising awareness I simply mean documenting and articling this subject. I have had enough of your berating and harassement.--Igwwgi (talk) 03:19, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
My apologies if you have perceived my communication with you to be berating or harassing. It was not intended to be so. It was solely intended to maintain the integrity of Wikipedia, and keeping Wikipedia contributors to the highest level of WP:NPOV. ConcernedVancouverite (talk) 15:21, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
