ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:37, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello. Regarding the recent revert you made to Not Like Us (song): you may already know about them, but you might find Wikipedia:Template index/User talk namespace useful. After a revert, these can be placed on the user's talk page to let them know you considered their edit inappropriate, and also direct new users towards the sandbox. They can also be used to give a stern warning to a vandal when they've been previously warned. Thank you. Adam Black talkcontributions 19:25, 18 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Sidhu Moose Wala shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war; that means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be, when you have seen that other editors disagree. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war; read about how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you do not violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to India, Pakistan, and Afghanistan, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

POV intervention of Maplesyrupsushi

[edit]

Bro if you don’t realise the core intention of the user I mentioned on you talk interface is highly dubious and have tone of interaction to devalue the hegemony of Jatt articles in his recent time period he was the one of suspicious user to oversight the sidhu article to regressively hijack its perimeter add the fabricated origin theory of Bhatti Rajput you can double check @MaplesyrupSushi you will explicitly find his manipulative agenda to surpass the integrity of Jatt so in conclusion As an individual from Jatt community I don’t recommend to interact with this guy anymore until amd unless you should try to convince about his miserable behaviour toward Jat article!! Have a nice day hope you will understand his mental illness Chauhan community Patroler (talk) 03:29, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Chauhan community Patroler - Your caste-based POV pushing and promotion is against Wikipedia policies on neutrality and verifiability. I will do all I can to ensure Wikipedia remains a reliable encyclopedia, not one where people make unverified claims regarding caste to boost their ego. Perhaps websites like Jatland.com are more suited for you. I will report you to the admins if you make baseless accusations against me again. MaplesyrupSushi (talk) 03:31, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
first of all I don’t create any misconceptions but it seems you are trying to whitewashing your bad faith edit on Wikipedia if you don’t have have a enough info regarding the Jatt affiliated topic. it’s my friendly request to maintain a considerable distance from the topic regardless of your poor mental obsession apart from this you are the one of example of jat phonic individual which can be determinate by various unwanted occasion for trying attempt to abduct Jat subset on Wikipedia Chauhan community Patroler (talk) 16:25, 6 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I can give you reality check via various interaction timeline proof of x user

Bro please leave me and @MaplesyrupSushi from this online discussion. If there is a bigger issue you need resolving please ask a Wikipedia Admin, but your claims seem to be quite incorrect.
Also, Jatt is also not a caste but a sub-ethnic group. Jattlife121 (talk) 13:42, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Signature of Sant Isher Singh

[edit]

Hey bro, I came across an image of Sant Isher Singh's signature: [3]

Will be good to add it to your draft article after it is published :) MaplesyrupSushi (talk) 23:23, 8 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm hoping it does get published lol. Usually all my pages have no issues, just bad actors are probably behind this getting denied. Some reason they won't accept Indian sources lol or they were saying the tone was at fault which was strange.
If you could please add a picture of him which i can add to draft that would be great. I really hope this time it gets approved, i'm just waiting right now to see what they say. Jattlife121 (talk) 22:21, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please add the signature though, and feel free to add to Draft:Sant Isher Singh Jattlife121 (talk) 22:23, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
