Region on food articles

[edit]

Please note that the Region or state parameter on Food infoboxes is for a specific region inside a country that the food is from, not the region of the world the country is part of. I.e. in Japan a food could be from the region of Kyushu, Osaka, Kansai etc. East Asia is incorrect as this is a box about where the food is from, not where the country is. Central Asia disputes

[edit]

Please do not arbitrarily change category locations from central asia to east asia without gaining consensus on the talk page. Taken together your edits could be perceived as disruptive and WP:RIGHTGREATWRONGS. Horse Eye Jack (talk) 00:33, 5 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

East and Central Asia

[edit]

Hey, I wanted to let you know that the sentiment that 'Turpan is in East Asia' is not representative of all viewpoints. I request that you consider this in future edits. The history of the Xinjiang region is an important part of Central Asian history. Geographyinitiative (talk) 00:24, 7 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
