Changes to articles

[edit]

Hey Krauseaj, I'm sorry for reverting some of your edits and warning you. You are obviously someone who is intent on helping the encyclopedia, and I'm sorry that you've been "bitten" so hard in your attempt to do so. At the same time though, to be a trustworthy and smoothly running encyclopedia, some bureaucratic processes are required, as well as some consistency in how things are done. I suggest that you look into the above links and follow the proper procedure. Thank you so much for your contributions to Wikipedia, and if you ever need help with something, feel free to ask me :) Ajraddatz (Talk) 23:14, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Green Bay

[edit]

I noticed you seem interested in moving Green Bay. f you want to propose moving Green Bay, Wisconsin to Green Bay, you can do so per the instructions at WP:RM. Basically you just add a new section to Talk:Green Bay, Wisconsin, as follows (just the stuff between the "nowiki" tags):

Requested move
Of course, you can expand the reason section. You might want to mention that the football team is better known as the "The Packers" or "Green Bay Packers". Noting page view statistics for this Green Bay vs. others ones couldn't hurt. --Born2cycle (talk) 23:21, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Forest Mall requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hang on to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. —Ancient ApparitionChampagne? • 3:59pm • 04:59, 29 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, you are reminded not to attack other editors, as you did on User talk:Agne27. Please comment on the contributions and not the contributors. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. You are welcome to rephrase your comment as a civil criticism of the article. Your comments towards this user were inappropriate in tone and somewhat rude. --Jeremy (blah blahI did it!) 05:52, 7 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You and Agne seem to be pretty close... I am sorry if I disrupted your friend's talk page--I see you two already deleted my comment. If Agne was so concerned, why didn't he/she respond instead of you? -Krauseaj 16:25, 9 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for File:Bonkers!.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Bonkers!.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 23:26, 16 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:WMBE.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:WMBE.png. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:05, 20 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Let me know if you ever need help or explanations about how things work here in Wikipedia or on Wikimedia Commons. I have years of experience at both projects and I can do administrator tasks on both. You appear to be from my part of the world. I never get very specific with naming my community or whatever. I invite you to join me at Wikipedia:WikiProject Wisconsin. Royalbroil 02:41, 1 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:WJFW.jpg

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:WJFW.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of "file" pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude2 (talk) 06:39, 7 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free galleries

[edit]

I noticed today that back in December of last year, you reverted my removal of the non-free gallery in that article without explanation. Please be aware that the use of non-free images in a gallery such as this is generally not supported, as it is a failure of WP:NFCC policy, specifically item #8. Please do not restore the gallery again. Thank you, --Hammersoft (talk) 16:55, 25 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Forest Mall, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Aeropostale. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Gogebic pronunciation

[edit]

It seems you are correct! I had to track down relevant TV6 and ABC 10 clips on YouTube in order to be convinced, though, as I didn't find mere assertion persuasive on its own. Anyway, I'll update it on Lake Gogebic also. Two Hearted River (paddle / fish) 10:27, 17 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
