Not challenging the decision, but why did you decline Draft:IMU-CET as nn rather than v? Asking as someone new to the reviewing process. I declined Draft:Dose Of Doctors with verifiability as the main concern because it was similarly unreferenced, without making judgment on notability yet. Hi Reconrabbit, some people in the past have objected to the use of 'v' on it's own - I can't find the discussion but I think it was because they don't think you should encourage someone to think it just needs sources and it will be accepted. Basically because v lacks any mention of notability, but you amended that with a comment in your case. nn, and others like bio, say what the sources need to show rather than just add sources. In general we are here to judge notability as shown by the presented sources (unless you want to do a WP:BEFORE). I usually only use v with other reasons, the only time I use on it's own is if I'm fairly sure it would be notable if the claims were sourced. So for Draft:IMU-CET it looks half like an advert and may or may not be notable (I'm guessing not), so pointing out the notability requirements as the key concern is what I went for. • It depends what the submission is, some take a minute, some take an hour. Draft:Lika Leong has lost of unsourced content, unsuitable sources such as linkedin, leaving just 2 sources that do not show the subject is notable.   Yes, not every person has enough sources to show they are notable (see WP:N). Some may never be, for others it's just too soon. Many people do great things that just don't get written about, it does not make them or there work not important, just not Wikipedia notable. Hi, I notice you changed the ":" characters in the "web cite" references in the article I just created on this subject (https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Enver_Tohti) to "|" characters, which appears to have rendered the links non-functional. This was my first stab at creating an article from scratch, so I'm not familiar with all the procedures, and am just wondering why you did this. Thank you for explaining. Hi @StarchildSF if you look at your version here the cites where just errors with nothing working. All templates on Wikipedia (things in double curly brackets {{ }} have the parameters split by pipes '|') so you were using template "cite web: Access Date=26 August 2024" rather than just "cite web". I then realised the rest was also wrong but got distracted by an email. I've redone them from scratch to fix fully. @TL9027 the original article was moved to Draft because it showed no sign of notability and I see you have other articles flagged for deletion. Most bus routes are just not notable. Wikipedia does not have articles on everything that exist, only subjects that meet the WP:Notability guidelines. Your first source is a blog which are generally not considered reliable sources however I believe this guy has some reputation in the field so it gives it some worth. The next source does not mention the route as far as I can see, it's about the Bee Network not the route. The other sources are just timetables so nothing to help show any form of notability. It's important to understand the basics of notability (see WP:GNG) otherwise you can end up getting very frustrated and disappointed, and we don;t want to loose motivated editors. Most of us have had subjects we wanted to write an article about but could not find enough coverage in reliable sources, it's just the way Wikipedia works unfortunately. If enough sources do not exist for each route at the moment then you could maybe add sub sections to Bee Network instead. Regards KylieTastic (talk) 16:36, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
