My view point is neutral, and gives great credit to a humbled man. im not accustomed to being called or my changes as criminal damage by Nedrutland this is not proven and is slander. this low life rants and behaviour is not acceptable so please block him. Cozaswhite (talk) 13:46, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Cozaswhite: I'm not an admin here, I can't block anyone. Your edit was clearly biased positively: Lord Dean Coutts, resides in the village and takes a positive active influence in all the villages activities. (see bold). Please read the guideline about "peacock" words. Furthermore, your edits must be backed by reliable sources per WP:RS (which they weren't). Also note the person must be notable per WP:NBIO to be included in the article. —Matrix(!) {user - talk? - uselesscontributions} 13:54, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Matrix.

a neutral point of view, is an opinion. It’s a contradiction in terms. For eg if I change the Asian god wiki, there is no proof of gods or story telling. If I dismissed this, all hell would break loose, and as to hell, well my point is clearly stated. Cozaswhite (talk) 13:51, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I'm a bit confused by this. Please speak in coherent English. —Matrix(!) {user - talk? - uselesscontributions} 13:56, 23 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

This template has been moved without redirect. I would be great if you could fix the transclusions. Thanks! Plastikspork ―Œ(talk) 16:13, 20 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Admin help rq

[edit]

Hey, could someone please change content model of Talk:Main Page/HelpBox/styles.css to sanitized-css so I can use it with mw:Help:TemplateStyles? Thanks, —Matrix(!) {user - talk? - uselesscontributions} 07:40, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

In addition, kindly also semi-protect. —Matrix(!) {user - talk? - uselesscontributions} 08:30, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have changed the content model, but the border value var(--border-width-base, 1px) var(--border-style-base, solid) var(--border-color-content-removed, #ffe49c) is not allowed in sanitized CSS, nor are any of the following:
border-width: var(--border-width-base, 1px); border-style: var(--border-style-base, solid); border-color: var(--border-color-content-removed, #ffe49c);
An admin will still be needed to semi-protect it. SilverLocust 💬 09:58, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Aren't .css interface protected in user space. Luhanopi (talk) 21:55, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Luhanopi: I'm a bit confused by your question, this css file is in talk space. Also interface protection is only applicable on MediaWiki:Common.css. —Matrix(!) {user - talk? - uselesscontributions} 03:11, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Only interface admins can edit other users' CSS or JS pages (like User:SilverLocust/common.css), but that doesn't apply to Sanitized CSS (TemplateStyles) pages (like User:SilverLocust/sandbox.css). SilverLocust 💬 06:21, 20 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

NowCommons

[edit]

Hello! If you like to clean out files then perhaps the list in User:MGA73/sandbox would interesst you. It should be files that are also on Commons but not tagged with a NowCommons. MGA73 (talk) 13:15, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the list, I'll have a look later —Matrix(!) {user - talk? - uselesscontributions} 13:28, 25 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Riddlesdown railway station

[edit]

I see the train station clique has singled out your AfD for attention. They are a minority viewpoint, but since station AfDs don't attract many people they can override policy with local "consensus" and nonsense arguments. I'm sure you noticed essentially all the keep votes were knee-jerk indignant reactions that failed to make policy-based arguments. You're far from their first victim. I was the one who launched the 2022 RfC that closed with an overwhelming consensus that train stations are not inherently notable. I started that RfC because I was tired of AfDs ending exactly like this one, where the train station clique stonewalls any argument with "but don't you know all train stations are automatically notable?!" After the RfC, they can't say that out loud, but they just find other ways to imply it. Some people seem to have an issue following that consensus. I recommend a more pointed RfC aimed at defeating the "how dare you AfD a train station on the British railway network! They're all notable just by existing" arguments from this AfD. And if that doesn't work, then ANI is the next step. I've been here over three years and this problem is far older than my tenure here. Trainsandotherthings (talk) 20:46, 9 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Trainsandotherthings: Another note, sometimes RFCs don't work! You can read Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Streetcars#RfC: Notability and Tramlink stops which is an RFC I started. But yeah, I will start an RfC soon. —Matrix(!) {user - talk? - uselesscontributions} 15:57, 10 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
