User talk:Monsterwax

A tag has been placed on Ricardo garijo, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the page and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Slgr@ndson (page - messages - contribs) 19:26, 22 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nonsense pages are not useful

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! We could really use your help to create new content, but your recent additions (such as "Janor hypercleets") are considered nonsense. Please refrain from creating nonsense articles. If you want to test things out, edit the sandbox instead. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Cmw4117 05:51, 29 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Suspense (radio program). Wikipedia is not a mere directory of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam policy for further explanations. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, then please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. See the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to The Black Museum. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. RJASE1 Talk 03:51, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is your last warning. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to CBS Radio Mystery Theater, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted as well, preventing anyone from linking to them from any site that uses the MediaWiki spam blacklist, which includes all of Wikimedia and Wikipedia. Request reason:

I was blocked for making relevent links to the RadioHorrorHosts profiles of specific old time radio shows. It is true that the website is listed as a "com", but it doesn't sell any old radio shows, it just gives detailed information about them and free downloads. There is very little information available in book about OTR-- I'm only aware of about six different titles made, and RadioHororHosts.com fills in a lot of the gaps currently missing from the wiki pages on these specific pages. Check out the removed link and see if you still think it is not helpful. I'm not trying to spam, but based on the vast lack of info on the subject on the net and in the libraries, I think it would be helpful. -Kurt PS, I wasn't ignoring your earlier warnings. I'm still learning the ropes at Wiki and didn't know about the talk page until just now.

Decline reason:

Clear violation of WP:SPAM. Please do not edit further until you have read and understood WP:SPAM, WP:EL, WP:NOT, and WP:COI. — Yamla 15:45, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Disputed fair use rationale for File:Monsterwax Promotional Image.jpg}

[edit]

Thank you for uploading File:Monsterwax Promotional Image.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page.
