Jarret Myer[edit]
Hi there! I'm reaching out because I saw that you're a participant of WikiProject Media and have an interest in editing news-related articles. I recently suggested updates to Jarret Myer's article (he's the founder of Uproxx) and would like others to review them. I prepared the changes on behalf of Myer and Uproxx, so I will not make any edits to the article myself. Would you have time to take a look and let me know what you think? Thanks! Heatherer (talk) 16:57, 24 November 2015 (UTC)
Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Hi Owlsmcgee: Thanks for your recent review at Template:Did you know nominations/Beer cake. Just a note that since it appears you have approved the nomination, it is customary to include using {{subst:DYKtick}} at the beginning of your review. This serves to make it easier for schedulers to locate approved nominations. Cheers, North America1000 04:01, 10 December 2015 (UTC)

Hi, just thought I would ask you to undo your edit revert that took place on the article Kit Kats in Japan, as my edit was only to remove a link to a Wikipedia page which does not exist. Thanks JoshMuirWikipedia (talk) 09:33, 21 March 2016 (UTC)
- Hi JoshMuirWikipedia, you removed a link that was part of a vandalism edit. The vandal added three non-existent flavors of Kit Kat to the article, and you removed the hyperlink from one of them. Undoing my reversion would simply insert vandalism back into the page. Thanks for your effort, but unfortunately, we both had our time wasted by a vandal. --Owlsmcgee (talk) 14:54, 21 March 2016 (UTC)

Asian 10,000 Challenge invite[edit]
Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Asia/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like South East Asia, Japan/China or India etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Asian content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon which has produced near 200 articles in just three days. If you would like to see this happening for Asia, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Asia, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 11:28, 20 October 2016 (UTC)

Good work[edit]
Thanks for creating the article on the Cockstock Incident. Although I was familiar with Oregon's exclusion laws, the version I had read linked the laws to the need for Oregon to enter the United States as a non-slavery state. I appreciate your very good work telling a key part of Oregon's sad racist history. Grand'mere Eugene (talk) 05:34, 15 August 2017 (UTC)+
- Thanks Grand'mere Eugene - I'm glad I was able to do it. Owlsmcgee (talk) 14:20, 15 August 2017 (UTC)
