Request reason:

Hello. My name is Alex Otxoa. I would like to start off by saying that I am not the same person as Afro-Eurasian in real life. Afro-Eurasian and I share a house for financial reasons, thus we share the same IP. As I said before, he was the one that introduced me to Wikipedia, and ever since then I have been in love editing here to improve articles. I've spoken to him about the situation and he doesn't care. He said that he's fine with his account (Afro-Eurasian) being blocked as he doesn't see himself wasting time on Wikipedia anymore. I, on the other hand, would love to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Please, I have never vandalized nor have I ever been warned for unconstructive behavior, etc. I know and admit that I created multiple accounts (Palaeolithic Man, Mesolithic Man, Neolithic Man, Stone Age Man, Ice Age Man, Caveman, Mountain Man, European, Original European, Aboriginal European, Indigenous European, Native European, and Basque) but I did so after reading the policy and I never planned on using them, they just redirected to my userpage. I did not notice any limit, so I truly apologize if that was an issue. There has also been questions as to why my account name is Paleolithic Man and why my signature is Original European. The reason is because I created Original European and intended to only use that account, but I had already contributed with this account but I wasn't fond of the username "Paleolithic Man" anymore, which is why my signature is Original European. I would highly appreciate a second chance at contributing to Wikipedia as I love it here and have already edited many articles, and I was planning on adding two more articles soon. Thank you for your time. Original European (talk) 10:07, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Pretty implausible response/explanation. Seems to be a clear sockpuppetry violation. only (talk) 11:58, 2 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Here's my take on this: We've never been given an explanation as to why your username seems to be part of a set, which includes Afro-Eurasian, nor have you explained why you created so many accounts. Further, I see a strong similarity in your use of the language and presentation styles (including formatting and civility). Also, there are nagging suspicions about this whole Romance language thing. If I had to guess, I'd say you are indeed the same person. If you're not, well, doing things in such a similar fashion to your friend, including all this monkey business with the usernames, was a huge mistake. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 02:05, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, it really was a mistake. I should have checked what kind of user he was before automatically trusting him with my information; that's what I get for being kindhearted (I should have followed "If you want something done right, do it yourself"). As for the similarities, I've explained before that he basically set up my information on his profile for me so when I created my account I would be set and all I had to do was copy and paste and he would delete it after I created my userpage (which he did). I still have no idea why that idiot (sorry, I'm just really upset) included his own information specifically where my information was. He should have created a sandbox, but I'm assuming he didn't know how to do that or he was too lazy. Marco is rather vocal about his opinions and beliefs; he thinks the world revolves around him. When something doesn't go his way, he gets angry and quits. He does like Romance languages and the Roman Empire as a whole. He sees himself as a "Roman", though he is Latin American with no relatives in Europe (English is his second language but he is fluent). Aside from me commenting my opinion on "Latin peoples" because he kept pushing me to do so, the majority of my edits are on Basque-related topics. I think all the usernames I created (list is above) really had to do with me being new here and being 16 years of age I liked those names and thought they were "cool", so I wanted to reserve them. At the time I never would have thought that it would be an issue; only now do I realize how it makes everything look worse. I really planned on staying for the long term and improving Wikipedia. This has definitely been a learning experience. And I thank you Anna Frodesiak for taking the time to comment. Original European (talk) 02:43, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, I've heard what you have to say. All this is too fishy for me. I won't unblock you. Maybe others will. I just don't know. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 02:50, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, I completely understand. Thank you for all your help in the past and for taking the time to hear what I have to say. Is there a process that needs to be done in order for other admins to see this? Original European (talk) 02:57, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yes. Read the bottom of the brown box above. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 03:11, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Just to be clear, should I request another unblock? I want to confirm before doing it so I do not upset any admin for improper use. Original European (talk) 03:44, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
You should make your own decision after reading the above. Don't worry about upsetting any admin. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 04:04, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

What is your real name: Alexandre Lobo (born in Miami on September 16, 1997) [1] or Alex Otxoa (born in Miami on September 16, 1997) [2]. I know that both "otxoa" and "lobo" means "wolf", but it is strange that initially you translated your name into Romance languages (see the "Name" section here [3]), and now you use its Basque version. Why do you need so many identity if you do not want to hide something? I know that you like deleting all "harassing" messages from your both talk pages, but I think you should have answered them. Borsoka (talk) 03:05, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Borsoka. My birth name is Alex Otxoa Garcia-Mendoza. I was born in Miami Beach on September 16, 1997. I did not translate my name; I always used my real birth name. I am not hiding anything, I am actually giving out personal information. I only have one identity. Again: my name is Alex Otxoa Garcia-Mendoza. Also please remember that this is my talk page so any message I see as slanderous (i.e., when you refer to me by the wrong name or use a tone that suggests what you say is fact) I have the right to remove, and I do not need to reply to. Out of my innocence and want for you to understand that I am a different person, I chose to reply to you. Original European (talk) 03:28, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Why did you first use the Spanish version of your name (as it is demonstrated above)? And why did you translate it into Romance languages if you are not interested in Romance topics (as it is demonstrated above)? Borsoka (talk) 03:33, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I did not do that. And I am not interested in Indo-European topics as a whole, but that is irrelevant. Original European (talk) 03:36, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Please read the "Name" section here [4] about a guy named Alexandre Lobo who was also born in Miami Beach on September 16, 1997. I also would like to remind you on your edits on Indo-European topics, for example here [5], here [6], here [7], here [8], here [9], here [10], and here [11]. Taking into account that about 50% of your edits are related to your own user page, the number of edits in connection with Indo-European topics seems slightly high. Borsoka (talk) 10:56 pm, Today (UTC−5)
Marco converted my name into Romance languages. I never asked him to do so nor do I find it useful.
I have few edits on Indo-European topics. There isn't a policy forbidding a user from editing a specific "genre". Also, countries are not "Indo-European topics". Furthermore, you cannot provide a single example of me vandalizing or misusing Wikipedia. And how exactly do you know that "50%" of my edits were on my userpage? Here I reverted vandalism, here is where I state my opinion after being asked to do so, here is where I try to find a neutral way to represent the article, here is where I added "Romance" peoples, here is where I corrected a link that was actually meant for you since it was on your talk page after an edit of yours, and here I reverted vandalism, again. I don't know what you are suggesting by pointing these out. But thank you for doing it because it shows how I contribute to Wikipedia by fighting vandalism, remaining neutral, and generally being a friendly person. Original European (talk) 04:28, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
So, if my understanding is correct, you did edit on Indo-European topics. Please also read the following link: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Latin peoples (interestingly, this is also an Indo-European topic). You proposed an article for deletion and later you stated that you in fact do not want to delete it. Do you think this was a proper approach? Borsoka (talk) 04:38, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Do you think calling me "clearly disturbed" is a proper approach? Ever since I first encountered you when I stated my opinion here, you have been disgustingly rude and a bigot. I may or may not edit an article regarding Indo-European. That is none of your concern. I proposed deletion because I agreed that the article made no sense and did not stay on topic. I later withdrew my opinion because other editors made the argument that we could redirect the page. I don't care about that article. I care about Basque articles. You don't seem to understand that. Original European (talk) 04:47, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I'm asking both of you to disengage. Paleolithic Man, please do what you see fit in terms of appeals, etc. Borsoka, please don't ask people for their real names or attack or insult others in any way. Thank you both. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 04:53, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hello. I would like to use bullets for my request to keep it simple (detailed information is above). *I have contributed constructively to Wikipedia (I have over 500 edits). *I have created one article and plan on creating more. *I have been thanked by multiple users for my constructive edits. *I read and have learned most of Wikipedia's policies. *I have never been warned for unconstructive edits/behaviour. *I have never vandalized an article or userpage/talk page. *I have never used any of my registered accounts for illegitimate purposes; I have only used this account. *I am asking for a second chance to continue contributing usefully/constructively at Wikipedia. *I promise to never violate any Wikipedia policy (you have my word; my personal information is on my userpage and I will upload an image of myself to avoid any further issues). *My reason being here at Wikipedia is to contribute constructively; I like to clean up, correct grammar/spelling, revert vandalism, and it's always pleasant to greet new users, especially IP's, that show good editing skills by welcoming them with Twinkle in hopes that they will create an account and further contribute. If I were to be unblocked I would like to participate in RfC and be able to help out in the sockpuppetry/meatpuppetry area as I am aware that it is a huge issue in our community. *If I were to be unblocked, would it be okay for me to continue contributing on my Original European account to avoid further confusion with my signature? I am willing to disband this account and all others that I created for redirection to avoid any form of sock puppetry. *I would also like to mention that Marco (Afro-Eurasian) is currently in Brazil. If he were to log on from his PC in Brazil and make a comment here so an admin can check the IP, would that help at all? Original European (talk) 13:22, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

There is a lot here that is unclear, but the following facts are clear: you have created a large number of accounts, and given no explanation as to why; you have used two of those accounts, but persistently deny the fact; you have been evasive and at times downright dishonest about other aspects of the case. If you had had the sense to come clean about the whole thing once your dishonesty had been exposed, you might well have been unblocked, but I am not going to unblock you while you are patently being dishonest about numerous aspects of the case. Furthermore, you make what superficially looks like a good case for the view that, even though you have used multiple accounts and denied it, you have not used them for abusive purposes, but that view does not stand up to closer examination; you clearly started using the two accounts as a friendly hand/unfriendly hand pair towards Borsoka. Whether that was your main (or even only) purpose in the sockpuppetry or whether there were other motivations is unclear, but overall there is more than enough reason for declining your unblock request. (For clarity, I should like to point out that my conclusions are based on an extensive review of many aspects of your editing, taking into account not only aspects which are documented here and on other pages, but also other features which as far as I know have not been commented on.) Hello JamesBWatson. Yes, I did create multiple accounts that redirected to my userpage; however I never used any of them per policy. I didn't know there was a limit and I am admitting that I created those accounts, but I never used them in any way that violates policy.
Please point out what I am being dishonest about and I will explain myself in full honesty.
I did not create my account to interact with Borsoka; I could care less about the article Latin peoples (I even agreed with Borsoka unlike Afro-Eurasian). I simply stated my opinion on the matter in a neutral way which does not violate policy.Original European (talk) 11:08, 4 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
May I have two questions? (1) What is the article you created? (2) If you and Afro-Eurasian are different persons, why did he add the "praenomen" Marco when he translated your name into several Romance languages? Name section. Borsoka (talk) 15:29, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
1. Peștera Coliboaia due to its significance in the anthropology field and its spectacular cave paintings, as I am interested in prehistoric Europe.
2. Like I said before, I don't know why he did some of the things on his userpage like mixing his information with mine. It was unnecessary and simply put it was stupid. I can't comment on how his brain works, but I fully agree that it was not smart at all. Original European (talk) 00:04, 4 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Thank for your answer. It is a nice article. I am so sorry that Marco made such strange actions in connection with you. I have never heard of such behaviour. The thought that somebody adds his/her own name to my name and writes so many incorrect information of me on a public site makes me shiver. Take care of you. Borsoka (talk) 04:05, 4 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Alex, you are consuming time and energy in vain with these unblock requests. If your story is true, you made a huge imprudence to share your IP with Afro-Eurasian. Sometimes admins use to tag accounts as socks even for much less . I suggest you to wait 6 months and make a new request per WP:OFFER.
