Afghan Farsi on Farsi Wikipedia

[edit]

Hello, I see you are quite active on Persian Wikipedia. I've noticed a concerning trend of users removing Afghan Persian from article headers. see this edit, this edit, this, and this one. Why is this happening? Was there a policy change to exclude Afghan Farsi? Why can't Persian Wikipedia include all dialects? English Wikipedia, for reference, does include dialects besides American English. I'm not sure why this is occurring but considering only Afghan Farsi is being removed and not French, English, etc, it feels a bit discriminatory towards Afghan Persian. And just to note, all example words here are standard in Afghanistan, NOT slang. They are used by major news agencies in Afghanistan such as Tolo News. you can use the search bar and check for yourself . I don't want to jump to assumptions so if there's a non-discriminatory reason for this let me know, it's just a bit concerning is all. -2601:280:C77E:5850:CD41:94F5:D432:C1A5 (talk) 07:03, 12 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
