Welcome
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page. To stay in Wikipedia, an article has to be about something notable, that is, of general interest. Click on Notability for an explanation of what that means, and on Notability (organizations and companies) for more detail. Also, it must give independently verifiable sources, and must be written from a neutral point of view and not in a promotional style. Articles that don't meet these requirements are likely to be deleted.
- To find out more about creating articles, read the Introduction and the Guide to creating your first article.
- You should not write articles about yourself, your band, your client, your boss or your best friend - that's a conflict of interest.
- Wikipedia is not an advertising service or business directory. Before writing about your own business, read Business' FAQ.
- For experiments, please use the sandbox.

Proposed deletion of Koren (disambiguation)
[edit]A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Koren (disambiguation), suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:
- this disambiguation page only points to a single valid article.
All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Proposed deletion of Koren Publishers Jerusalem

- I've put in a request at WP:AN#Need history merge for the article to be properly moved. In the future, you'll want to read through WP:MOVE. Thanks! Doulos Christos ♥ talk 15:41, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
- I'm surprised though that no other returns has his name spelled without the i - maybe non-internet sources did. I was really hesitant at first before making the merge of the history. --JForget 15:59, 8 March 2009 (UTC)
Eliyahu
[edit]You can easily rename the page by clicking the "move" tab at the top. The larger problem you have here is lack of sources. You can cite a wide range of published sources, newspapers, the web sites of organizations, books, and you can cite Hebrew sources as well as English sources. You really do ned to add sources. And you should add pages on the Koren Siddur and the Koren Bible. The page says that the Bible is now out in English. I thought the English/Hebrew Bible was still forthcoming.Historicist (talk) 20:37, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
- If the name has already been changed once, you may not be able to simply click move. You will need published sources establishing the alternate spelling. It is also customary to put all alternate spellings in the opening.Historicist (talk) 20:43, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
- Does the Hebrew/English Siddur use Koren Bible type? Historicist (talk) 20:47, 22 June 2009 (UTC)
- Other then pages that are similar to Wikipedia articles or from other encyclopedias, virtually every reference to him has the "i" on his given name. I think it would have to be return back to its original spelling prior to the move. I will move the article back to the original spelling. JForget 22:40, 23 June 2009 (UTC)
