Just a question

[edit]

Hi there,

You reverted my edit on Space Jam because I thought it was vandalism. However, I added 17 bytes to the page and you removed 15 bytes on the page. How does that work? Myrealnamm (💬talk · ✏️contribs) at 19:38, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there!
Those are the 15 bytes which were originally added in this edit; my revert rolled back past that vandalism. Happy editing!   –Skywatcher68 (talk) 19:44, 9 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Falsely accusing me of a old enemy

[edit]

Dude, I don't know what happened between you and this user you have dealt with before, but it's very concerning you're suddenly projecting me as the user who was blocked, all because of some edits I was adding and fixing. Like come on man, it's very unhealthy and even a bit weird too. Jayaltwriter2004! (talk) 18:57, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

My apologies, then. It's just that several editors have been trying to add protagonist/antagonist stuff at List of Pirates of the Caribbean characters and related pages such as Elizabeth Swann, Jack Sparrow, Davy Jones, etc. You came in shortly after Jacedorion was indefinitely blocked for such disruptive edits and headed almost directly for Hector Barbossa, initially doing the same sort of thing there.   –Skywatcher68 (talk) 20:25, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Well, at least you understand. While I admit it's a bit dumb that we can't add protagonist/antagonist stuff, I can still learn to respect the rules (even if I don't really understand nor like it much) and follow it. Jayaltwriter2004! (talk) 20:33, 25 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's simple, really: a good story should leave the viewers able to figure out for themselves regarding who is a protagonist or an antagonist. The consensus around Wikipedia is that we shouldn't be identifying protagonists, antagonists, tritagonists, deuteragonists, duumvirates, etc. for them. Yeah, some editors have tried to go down into that minutiae; best to not go down that road at all.   –Skywatcher68 (talk) 05:11, 26 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Snooker article

[edit]

Hi Skywatcher68, thank you for your edits to the Snooker article. Are you aware that it's due for TFA on 16th August (next Friday)? If you have any other suggestions for improvements, please let us know asap so we can incorporate before then. You have tagged the article as overlinked. Please can you indicate how you arrived at that conclusion and help us identify where links can be removed. I am always mindful of MOS:DUPLINK issues but I haven't necessarily noticed any overlinking issues in this one. Regards, Rodney Baggins (talk) 15:14, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I did notice the Featured tag when adding the template. As for the rest, I've replied on the article's Talk page.   –Skywatcher68 (talk) 15:47, 7 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please see WP:AVOIDOUTING, and send any relevant information to paid-en-wp@wikipedia.org instead of posting it on an editor's talk page. - Aoidh (talk) 21:04, 14 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Noted.   –Skywatcher68 (talk) 12:51, 15 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thangalaan

Please always have a look on this article. Here some users/fans are removing the content written with reliable sources and is removing film's box office gross data. 2409:40F3:1004:CF34:74AF:67FF:FEFC:93C9 (talk) 16:44, 23 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to participate in a research

[edit]

Hello,

The Wikimedia Foundation is conducting a survey of Wikipedians to better understand what draws administrators to contribute to Wikipedia, and what affects administrator retention. We will use this research to improve experiences for Wikipedians, and address common problems and needs. We have identified you as a good candidate for this research, and would greatly appreciate your participation in this anonymous survey.

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

The survey should take around 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement .

Please find our contact on the project Meta page if you have any questions or concerns.

Kind Regards,

WMF Research Team
