Welcome!
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. We as a community are glad to have you and thank you for creating a user account! Here are a few good links for newcomers:

- Picture tutorial
- How to write a great article
- Naming conventions
- Manual of Style
- Merging, redirecting, and renaming pages

Yes some of the links appear a bit boring at first, but they are VERY helpful if you ever take the time to read them.
Remember to place any articles you create into a category so we don't get orphans.
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! By the way, please be sure to sign your name on Talk and vote pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, or three tildes (~~~) for just your name. Gallery articles up for deletion!
[edit]I noticed that these articles:
- Gallery of Nintendo Entertainment System screenshots
- Gallery of Super Nintendo Entertainment System screenshots
- Gallery of Sega Mega Drive and Sega Genesis screenshots
- Gallery of Sega Master System screenshots
that you worked on in the past are now are up for deletion. Would you vote in favor of keeping these articles? They show the history of the advancement of video game graphics over time and are useful as a source of images for graphics for video game articles. --ShaunMacPherson 20:03, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
When the title of a work includes a misspelling, it's not our prerogative to change it. That is exactly why (sic) is there, to indicate that the misspelling is in the original. - Jmabel | Talk 06:34, 3 February 2006 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Deletion review#List of interesting or unusual_place_names
[edit]Further to your views on the undeletion, you may be interested that the page was relisted on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of interesting or unusual place names (2nd nomination). Regards--A Y Arktos 07:44, 10 February 2006 (UTC)
Despite the overwhelming support for keeping the list in article namespace, the above relisting was closed early. At Wikipedia:Deletion review#List of interesting or unusual place_names, the deletion is being reviewed once more (to restore the list from Wikipedia to article namespace (it's currently at Wikipedia:List of interesting or unusual place names). -- User:Docu
Thank you for your vote on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/David Morgan-Mar. Usally people give a voting rationale, would you mind providing one as well? Cheers, —Ruud 22:05, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
Blender
[edit]Hi there! I noticed you're one of the lead people behind the article on Blender and decided to ask you some questions you might know how to solve. It's partially related to my personal fascination with heraldry and partially with my Polish heraldry series.
Anyway, some time ago the French wikipedians started the Wikipédia:Projet/Blasons, a collaborative project to make PD coats of arms of all the communities of France. For some time they have been using a simple Blender template (check here) that adds a fancy 3D look to every coat of arms they make. I decided to give it a try and prepare a similar set of fancy-looking coats of arms for the English wiki. However, the problem is that outside of France many towns and countries use different kinds of escutcheons. At times it has no symbolic meaning and the exact shape of the coat of arms is not that important. However, when it comes to emblems of countries or towns, the matter gets a tad more complicated.
Because of that, I asked the author of that Blender template to prepare a set of similar templates with other shapes, notably the Polish modern and Finnish modern (better proportions here) and 15th century types, as these seem to be the most popular nowadays (other shapes are here). However, Rinaldum seems to be completely inactive these days and the last time he dropped in to French wiki was some time in February.
And here goes my question: could you prepare such templates yourself? I guess it shouldn't be that hard for someone who already has the shapes and knows Blender... I downloaded the software, but I get lost every time I do anything more than a simple F12 - F3... Or perhaps you know someone who could do it? Cheers Halibutt 22:53, 14 March 2006 (UTC)
- I've put those 3 designs in this template, but I get an error when trying to upload a .blend file. (It occurs on the french wp too.) I suppose I could email it to you.
- I don't see why you need to use Blender, though. All that template does is add flat shading and specularity. I imagine you'd be better served by a GIMP template; that might look better and may be easier too. --Snargle 04:16, 15 March 2006 (UTC)
- Strange, I wonder how those guys uploaded it to wiki. Anyway, I perhaps could do it with a GIMP template, though... well, I have no idea how to do it either. I'm a typical end-user who needs user-friendly step-by-step instructions... and the only instruction I could find was the one at the French wiki, with Blender used... Anyway, I would appreciate if you sent your work to halibutt (fancy sign) gmail.com, I'll ask User:Piotrus how do I upload it to wiki, perhaps he'd know the answer. BTW, what license should I use? Halibutt 16:28, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- Sent it. I know nothing about GIMP either... I didn't mean you should rule out Blender, just that the template you pointed me to doean't give any 3d effects. Actually, I'll see if I can do something about that. --Snargle 20:33, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- You're my hero anyways, but if you managed to do something even more fancy with the template, that'd mean you'd be my super-hero :) Halibutt 23:19, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry to bother you again, but I just noticed a small problem with the template.. Apart from the original shield, all the rest load the image upside down. Any ideas how to fix that the easy way? Of course I could do it by turning the image 180deg with GIMP, but I guess there is some easier way... Yeah, I know, I'm a complete idiot when it comes to 3d modelling. Once I made a 7TP tank and a TKS tankette with 3dsmax, but it took me ages and even then the models were somewhat choppy. And blender seems way more complicated than 3dsmax... Halibutt 23:29, 17 March 2006 (UTC)
- Selecting the shields and pressing CTRL-A will apply size and rotation. That should correct it. Snargle 00:22, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
- I guess it's magic, but it worked. Thanks again, I owe you a beer :) Now the tough part is to upload it somewhere, but there must be a way to do it. Halibutt 05:32, 18 March 2006 (UTC)

User:Cleaning Lady
[edit]Actually, there's no error. Cleaning Lady is a sockpuppet of Zephram Stark. He plays this game regularly, at least once a day, pretending to be a new editor, and eventually getting blocked, all the while protesting his innocence. Unfortunately, you're just his latest victim. Jayjg (talk) 22:43, 26 March 2006 (UTC)
My bad. I thought the ban was an mistake because the sockpuppet tag you put up pointed to the wrong sockpuppets on RCU. Does this mean probably didn't get permission for the image he uploaded? The permission blurb(see img description) seems kinda suspect. --Snargle 03:45, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
An article about the Google OS rumors was previously voted on (Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Google OS) and deleted. I have Sarge/Owen's talk page watched (along with DIY culture). It's still there, and it doesn't look like it's been deleted recently. Owen's log doesn't show it either. Are you sure that's the page you're talking about? Ungovernable ForceGot something to say? 06:15, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
- Yeah, I'm sure. It must be a wp bug. On the deletion log, it says:
12:19, 16 March 2006 Sarge Baldy (Talk | contribs) deleted "DIY culture" (Deleted to make way for move.)
- --Snarius 06:23, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
- Well, I didn't look all the way back to March 16. That's a pretty long time ago. But if you got to the deletion log, how did you not get to the page? It's right here. You do see it now, right? Ungovernable ForceGot something to say? 06:29, 22 September 2006 (UTC)
- No, I definately don't see it. For me it says: Wikipedia does not have an article with this exact name. Please search for DIY culture in Wikipedia to check...
- refreshing, clearing cache, logging out/in all, and non-gecko browsers don't fix it. --Snarius 06:40, 22 September 2006 (UTC)

Consider me stupid - but I would appreciate a detailed explanation on how this thing meets my little guideline. - CrazyRussian talk/email 18:26, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
- I think Mednafen is the only modern emulator for several systems that is available, expecially on linux. Why exactly do you want to delete it? The topic may be a little bit obscure but people have already worked on it (not a lot, but some), and the article is not doing any harm. After checking out that debian popularity test thing, I conclude that there might be some disagreement in a rfd but it would pass because it's an interesting topic and important emulator (fills a big niche). --Snarius 20:43, 25 October 2006 (UTC)

Redirect of Iter Vehemens Ad Necem
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Iter Vehemens Ad Necem, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Iter Vehemens Ad Necem is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Iter Vehemens Ad Necem, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. AfD nomination of WikiZnanie
[edit]An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is WikiZnanie. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/WikiZnanie (2nd nomination). Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:17, 11 December 2009 (UTC)

The article Graveman has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No references on four years. Non-notable software, now abandoned.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Stuartyeates (talk) 23:21, 27 August 2011 (UTC)
