I've deleted it as a talk page of something deleted. but it wasn't 'nonsense'. That category is for things like 'gkytrtxlk yytrtdrt' or stuff that is so weird that it's not even surreal. This one could have almost been spam, but was too neutrally worded. Anyway, it's gone... Peridon (talk) 18:33, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

OK, I will take the time next time to find a better reason. It was a copy of the text in the article that was designed as an ad. -- Tegel (talk) 18:39, 9 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

-- Tegel (talk) 12:07, 20 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sådär, kontot har anslutits utan problem. Tack!  dalahäst (talk) 20:48, 21 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Tegel,
May I ask again how I can find the relevant BLP-style policies regarding private information on the other sites?
Thank you

Hi. If you go to Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons and then you have interwiki-links on the left side of the page. That is links to similar pages on other languages. It's not a complete list, but in some cases you can find new links from the other pages. -- Tegel (talk) 14:37, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Re: removal of date of birth and account being locked

[edit]

Hi Tegel, this is in regard to my last revision in which I removed a date of birth from the page of a living person. We are worried about the inclusion of the date of birth, since we consider it personal information and would like to keep it reserved. I understand the date of birth is listed on two other live websites, but we are contacting them to request the removal of the date of birth from there too.

My intention is not to do "vandalism", nor distort the true, but most simply have rights to reserve a personal information. What if some other website lists a phone number or a home address? Is this going to be published on wikipedia just because there's a reference link that can be provided?

Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gvocale (talkcontribs) 18:19, 25 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Rubbing eyes. Who "created" that page? - I did, it was deleted per a RfD because I had used the word "amused" in an edit summary. I took care not to recreate it, but sent the content to an archive directly. You can study in the history how it was recreated but not by me. How can you tell a different user they created the page. I'd like to see it deleted. It looks interesting in red ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:33, 26 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. It was another established user here on enwiki that marked the page for deletion, so I recommend that you bring your question to that user. I was following a cross-wiki vandal that has been abusing multiple wikis for a while now and revering the vandals edits. -- Tegel (talk) 14:28, 27 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tegal, As per WP:OWNTALK 86.134.212.2 is allowed to remove block messages, The only thing they can't remove are unblock requests and speedy deletion tags - Any and everything else is fine, 86 removing the messages means they've read (and hopefully understood) the block template but anyway it might best not to have an edit war with the IP and just ignore them, Thanks, –Davey2010Talk 11:42, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thanks for reminding me. I remembered later that en.wiki does things different that other wikis regarding the talk pages. The action was a simple reflex when cleaning up after the user got globally blocked. -- Tegel (talk) 12:18, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your IP address is in a range which has been blocked on all wikis

Hello Tegel, I run a bot [1] in the french wiki that handle the "Did you know" section on the main page and other stuff. It stopped working on the 22th of june with this message:

Code: globalblocking-ipblocked-range
Text: Your IP address is in a range which has been blocked on all wikis. The block was made by Tegel

Could you please unblock this ? Did you need the IP adress of my server which I could send to you by email ?

This is urgent.

Wonder if you can help??

[edit]

Hello, I would post to your talk page on Meta but unfortunately I cannot edit it because I receive the following message despite being logged in: “Your account or IP address has been blocked. 2607:FB90:0:0:0:0:0:0/32, you have been blocked by Tegel until 17:38, 18 January 2019, because: Vandalism. Your current IP address is [withheld for my privacy] and the block ID is #136683.” Until just a few minutes ago I couldn’t do ANYTHING on any part of Wikipedia while logged into my account. Now I can edit regular English Wikipedia without issues. However, I want to file a request for a global IP block exemption because this is the 2nd time in two weeks I’ve been affected by a block like this and 4th time in the last few months and it’s getting slightly irritating (not mad at the stewards doing this just the situation) having to deal with this when I’ve literally never committed an act of vandalism even dating back to editing as an IP address. However, I cannot file this request because I cannot edit meta wiki because of this block. I’m just wondering if there is anything you can do to help.--Rockchalk717 04:31, 20 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
