For naming references, I keep forgetting to use User:Nardog/RefRenamer. It's a bad habit I know. CNC (talk) 17:35, 3 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Fear mongering, scaring, and pressuring new editors.

[edit]

To all who this may concern. I have noticed that this user, Toddy1, likes to fear monger newer and less experienced editors whose edits he does not agree with by pasting a you may be blocked template onto their talk page. Even though I only reverted once, he decided to paste this template onto my talk page. I am very well aware of the 3-revert-rule and I only reverted once. Newer editors may not be familiar with this rule though and would be easily silenced by Toddy1's actions. This is unacceptable behavior. Toddy1 please stop this behavior. NamelessLameless (talk) 16:57, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think you did more than three reverts, so I warned you.
If you think that this is unacceptable, go to WP:ANI.-- Toddy1 (talk) 17:36, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
FWIW, I haven't seen any problematic behavior from Toddy1.VR (Please ping on reply) 19:35, 5 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Disruptive editing

[edit]

There is disruptive editing going on in the article Shool, but now you dont want to respond. Ustadeditor2011 (talk) 11:28, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Here to help you. Please could you modify the edit-warning notice that you placed at User talk:Sid95Q#3RR to say which page or pages he/she is edit warring on - my guess is it is Shool - but technicalities are important. In my opinion correctly placed edit-warring notices help users, because they encourage them to use the article talk page, and remind them that they are reverting a lot. If an editor is not edit-war aware, it is easy for them to do too many reverts.
You have made a lot of edits to the article on Shool but none to Talk:Shool. According to the rules governing the three revert rule, he reverted you once on 2 August, and twice on 19 August, whereas you have reverted him/her three times on 19 August. In terms of expected Wikipedia behaviour, you need to explain your edits on the article talk page (Talk:Shool); and I strongly advise not making any more reverts at Shool for about 36 hours. If somebody makes a really bad edit that needs reverting, do not revert, create a section on the article talk page explaining what is wrong with the edit, and saying that the edit should be reverted.-- Toddy1 (talk) 16:17, 19 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
