User talk:Vilerage

I'm lazy!.
  • If I post on your talk page, I will watch your talk page for replies.
  • I will reply to messages on my talk, on my talk, unless you ask me not to.
  • I will usually leave a message on your talk page to let you know that I have replied, unless your talk page contradicts this practice.
  • I know my sig is a weird ukranian word ;] It means "Vile Rage". For simplicity's sake, it's probably best to address me either as Vilerage, Rage, or Matt.... Whatever floats you boat though!
  • If your message is Urgent then you can try me on IRC my nick is Vilerage there.

Other Projects: I'm m:User:Vilerage on meta, and uk:User:негіднийлють on the ukranian wikipedia.

I'm on a wikibreak for a bit. Work is picking up these days, and I can't devote the amount of attention I previously could to the wiki (see my declining contribs over the last few weeks). I'll try to pop by from time to time, but don't expect quick answers to any talk messages.

Thank you!
Thank you!
VileRage, thanks for your support on my RFA. I was rather suprised at the overwhelming support I received. Thank you for your confidence in me. On a sadder note, I am sorry to hear about your recent incident. You're a good vandal whacker, come back when you feel it best. Hope to see you around again soon

[edit]

Just thought I'd drop a note to say a quick hello, and a belated Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays/Happy New Year. Haven't seen you online much since I took off myself for the holidays - I now see that's because you're on a wikibreak of your own. Hopefully that will change before too long. Whenever work lets up, and you find yourself back in the right frame of mind, I look forward to hearing from you again! Cheers! --PeruvianLlama(spit) 00:04, 12 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Clearly, my definition and your definition of "soon" are vastly different; so let me tell you up front, that it's my definition that goes around here bub. That work of yours better let up soon, because you're far too valuable a Wikipedian to be absent for long. I also thought you might be interested to read this (soon to be moved to the archives, no doubt, but you should be able to find it even then). I thought it was so worth mentioning in fact, that it warranted a semi-harassing-yet-all-in-good-fun-and-hope-this-found-you-in-a-generally-cheerful-state-of-mind introductory segue! :) --PeruvianLlama(spit) 10:21, 19 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Indeed, I am still alive! Glad to see that apparently, you are too! --PeruvianLlama(spit) 14:22, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Participant alert regarding Wikiproject on Advertising

[edit]

The Wikiproject No Ads, created as a backlash against the Answers.com deal, has served an important function in providing a space for users to express their disagreement with the Foundation proposal. While the current controversies about userboxes raise questions about political and social advocacy on Wikipedia, there should be greater flexibility regarding advocacy about Wikipedia in the Wikipedia namespace. Reported and linked by Slashdot and other press sources as a unique and spontaneous occurence in Wikipedia history, it has apparently had some impact as, despite being scheduled to begin in January, not a peep has been heard about the trial and proposed sponsored link since the deal's controversial announcement months ago. Currently, however, there is an attempt to delete the project or move it off Wikipedia altogether. Since the Foundation has provided no additional information and has not attempted to answer the specific questions that participants in the project raised, it is unclear if the Answers.com deal has been abandoned or simply delayed. Until the situation becomes more clear, I believe the group should still have a place in the Wikipedia namespace. Sincerely, Tfine80 00:13, 10 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hotbags

[edit]

Kind of off the subject, but since you either worked or work for Donatos and you put the hotbag pic on the pizza delivery article...

Have you seen the new hotbags that we're using now? The ones without the handles and the newer Donatos logo that burn the crap out of your hands when you're holding the bag from the bottom (since you can't grab it by the top handle)? They're way too thin and have no real padding like the older ones do. I figure you guys in Ohio are probably using them more than us Indiana guys are, didn't know if you had an opinion on it or not.

Drop me a line and we'll talk shop if you like. KC9CQJ 06:17, 9 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RFA

Thank you for your vote in my RFA, which succeeded with a final tally of 66-0-4. If there's anything I can help you with now that I'm an admin, please let me know on my talk page. Again, thanks! Mangojuicetalk 21:39, 4 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA thanks

[edit]
Hello Vilerage, and thank you for your support at my Request for Adminship, which succeeded with an overwhelming final count of (105/2/0). I was very pleased with the outpouring of kind words from the community that has now entrusted me with these tools, from the classroom, the lesson in human psychology and the international resource known as Wikipedia. The Free Encyclopedia. Please feel free to leave me plenty of requests, monitor my actions (through the admin desk on my userpage) and, if you find yourself in the mood, listen to some of what I do in real life. In any case, keep up the great work and have a fabulous day. Grandmasterka 06:43, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Same here! :D

Thanks for contributing to my successful RfA!
To the people who have supported my request: I appreciate the show of confidence in me and I hope I live up to your expectations!
To the people who opposed the request: I'm certainly not ignoring the constructive criticism and advice you've offered. I thank you as well!

Adminship is no big deal, as you said on my RfA. I've not changed anything except adding the requisite categories so users in need of help can find me. Thanks for your faith in me. :) ~Kylu (u|t) 07:19, 19 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for contributing the impressive the pile of supports gathered on my RfA, which passed with a final tally of 0x0104/0x01/0x00. I'm happy that so many people have put faith in my abilities as an admin and promise to use the tools wisely and do my best not to let you down. If I ever may be of assistance, just leave a note on my talk page.
Misza13, the rouge-on-demand admin wishes you happy editing!

My RfA

Thank you so much for voting in my recent RFA. It passed on the relatively narrow vote of 38/8/8. It was also one of the least-participated-in RFA nominations in several months, so pat yourself on the back, and join the party on your left, but first, take your cookie!

NOTE: I can't code HTML to save my life. I copied this from Misza13. I guess I should write him a thank you note as well. Cookies sold separately. Batteries not included. Thanks for your support in my RfA! Unfortunately, the request did not pass, with a vote of (43/16/7). But your support was appreciated and I'll just keep right on doing what I do. Maybe I'll see ya around -- I'll be here!

Unspecified source for Image:995carbine.gif

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:995carbine.gif. I notice the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this file yourself, then there needs to be a justification explaining why we have the right to use it on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you did not create the file yourself, then you need to specify where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the file also doesn't have a copyright tag, then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fritz S. (Talk) 12:46, 6 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:Kvircss.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Kvircss.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 01:04, 28 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
