User talk:ZS

Welcome to my talk page. Here, you can personally discuss stuff about changes in articles and other related odds and ends. Here's how messages are to be exchanged here:

  1. User X posts a message on my talk page.
  2. I'll reply both in my talk page and User X's talk page (the latter serves to notify the use of any replies).
  3. User X will need to post his/here reply in my talk page. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until exchange of messages ends.

The purpose of this is to avoid any fragmentation of dialog that would complicate future references.

Response time to incoming messages varies from time to time. Depending on the type of notice, automated bot messages will be store into a specific archive (in particular, image deletion notices that could occasionally flood my talk page).

List of pre-made characters in The Sims

[edit]

Why are you deleted the section, for example Cassandra Goth was a child in The Sims and she grew to adult in The Sims 2. Please restore it back. You can find here at Answers.com. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 210.213.228.150 (talk) 03:11, 8 January 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Reply: The deletion of the article is not my responsibility, because I do not have the privilege to do so. Besides, several other editors have voiced their comments on the article here, and have come to determine that the article is not useful from an entire encyclopedia's standpoint, so I don't feel that it's practical to consider an undeletion. However, if one would like to undelete an article that is concluded to be useless, he/she must build a case that provides reasonable justifications to do so (although this may not always be successful in returning deleted articles). I'm currently not in the position to do this, however, but you may feel free to try if you have legitimate evidence. Alternately, you may like to consider contributing in the Sims2Wiki, or similar Sims Wikis (try searching with Google). My apologies. ╫ 25 ◀RingADing▶ 17:15, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The List of gangs in Grand Theft Auto series

[edit]

Well, all (or, at least, most) of the issues warred over have been resolved! I just thought you would like to know; I revamped the article, according to discussions on the talk page, so, as far as statistics and whatnot are concerned, it is in practically perfect shape, except for the fact that one user persists to try to change "Vercetti Gang" to "Vercetti Crime Ring," but he'll be dealt with soon. But, anyways, I was just letting you know, man. Take care. BishopTutu 05:27, 11 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Help with the "List of GTA gangs" page.

[edit]

It's become out of hand. I'm coming to you because I feel you're the only one who is as passionate about GTA as I am, and has done a great deal to try to resolve the GTA gangs page's issues. A user, who I'm quite confident is sockpuppeting, has been tampering with the article; I've nearly violated 3RR because of his proven incorrect edits. Someone requested page lockdown again until the Sockpuppeting case has been resolved, but it's been quite a while, and nothing has been done yet. I hate to resort to such efforts, bringing others into my fight, but I need your help it these matters, if you can. Klptyzm 17:08, 12 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

We shouldn't move it! The box cover clearly states that "expansion pack" is in the name. The title looks something like this:

SimCity 4
Rush Hour
Expansion Pack

JuWiki (Talk <> Resources) 20:24, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reply: GameSpot, IGN, MobyGames and eBay indicate otherwise. "SimCity 4: Rush Hour" is used far more frequently used than "SimCity 4: Rush Hour Expansion Pack". Neither have I've seen any EPs for The Sims include "expansion pack" in their title, even though their cover arts do (see Livin' Large, Hot Date, Unleashed, Nightlife and Pets for examples). ╫ 25 ◀RingADing▶ 13:37, 30 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your help on the merging process in the SimCity 4/Rush Hour articles. I don't either unfortunately. You could always create topic on the SimCity 4: Rush Hour talk page, then maybe someone would come forward. Camaron1 | Chris 20:22, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A question about Image:HalfLife2 IsaacKleiner.jpg

[edit]

When you updated it to the head shot version, what was exactly the reason? I just think it would be more useful to have a full body shot.

I will wait a few days for your answer, in case you don't/can't answer, I will attempt to revert it by myself. >>Itskamilo 19:02, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Reply: Importance is usually placed on the facial appearance of a character, as opposed to a full body shot, unless that is the character has peculiar features that is prominent in the game or series (the G-Man's suit and suitcase, Eli Vance's missing leg, Father Grigori's priest-like appearance and Winchester, Dog being, obviously, a homemade robot, and Alyx Vance's athletic build), as opposed to Wallace Breen (not much to note about his attire or physique), Barney Calhoun (wears a Metrocop suit already illustrated in full in one of the Combine sub-pages), Judith Mossman (same as Breen), Odessa Cubbage (same as Breen) and Isaac Kleiner (same as Breen). I do have headshots for all mentioned characters except Dog, btw. ╫ 25 ◀RingADing▶ 01:16, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, sounds reasonable, but remember that Half-Life 2 is not Half-Life (1), there's only one scientific-like guy in the whole game, and I just think that it would be better to have a full body shot, anyway, it doesn't have much importance, if you think it's better to have a head shot, then it's OK. >>Itskamilo 12:42, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd like to ask a favor

[edit]

I am currently attempting to spruce up image description pages so that they can be seen to clearly adhere to Wikipedia guidelines for addressing instances of using non-free content. I have just edited the page for the photo of Officer Frank Tenpenny to include the non-free use rationale for its inclusion in the List of characters in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. I'm attempting to make it painfully clear to anyone that use of these images is justified under the policy, and was hoping you would help me out. If you're interested, please fill in the source and portion subheadings under the template I included on the image description page. Thanks! EganioTalk 07:03, 24 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

BTW, do you have a screen capture of Wu Zi Mu by any chance? EganioTalk 23:38, 30 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:GTA1 Vice City map.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:GTA1 Vice City map.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. After Midnight 0001 20:51, 3 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 21:52, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
