Indian Nursing Council (INC)

Indian Nursing Council (INC) is a regulatory body responsible for regulating and maintaining the standards of nursing education and practice in India. It was established under the Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947, with the mandate to ensure the uniformity in nursing education and practice across the country. The Indian Nursing Council plays a vital role in ensuring the quality of nursing education and practice in India and contributes to the development of a competent and skilled nursing workforce in the country. It sets guidelines for the establishment of nursing schools, colleges, and institutions and monitors their compliance with the standards. INC evaluates and approves the curriculum, infrastructure, faculty, and other resources of nursing institutions to ensure quality education..
