Virginia's 23rd Senate district is one of 40 districts in the Senate of Virginia. It has been represented by Democrat Mamie Locke since 2024.
Geography
[edit]District 23 is based in the Virginia Peninsula portion of Hampton Roads and includes all of Hampton and parts of Newport News.
The district is within Virginia's 3rd congressional district, and overlaps with the 85th, 86th, and 87th districts within the Virginia House of Delegates.[3]
