Wicked City is a 1973 Australian television play. It was meant to be the pilot for a series that never eventuated; however, it aired as a standalone movie.
Premise
[edit]In the 1880s, a straight-laced English doctor inherits a brothel and a music hall from one of his patients in Melbourne.

Production
[edit]The play was announced in 1972.[3] It was filmed that year, and was called one of the most expensive television productions in Australia. However, it did not air until 1973 in Melbourne and 1974 in Sydney.[4][5]
