As an FYI, I created Category:Colorado pioneers as a subcategory to

• Category:American pioneers by state
• Category:People from Colorado
• Category:People of the American Old West

The people that are in the category so far came from

• List of African American pioneers of Colorado
• Colorado Women's Hall of Fame, basically women born before 1875
• a few from {{Mining in Colorado Springs}} - I wasn't sure if I should grab all of them or not
• searches on: Colorado pioneer - just getting started

There is also a List of mountain men to research for Colorado content, but I am wondering if there should be a category for

• Category:Mountain men of Colorado
• Category:People of Colorado before 1858
  • which would also pick up Native Americans and
  • men who weren't African Americans
  • people from Nuevo México (1598–1848) and New Mexico Territory (1850–1912) who lived in Southern Colorado.

Perhaps the people from the New Mexican territory and Nuevo México who settled in Colorado should be in the pioneers category. I am not at all sure.
