List of Nottingham Cricket Club players

This is a complete list, in alphabetical order, of cricketers who played for Nottingham Cricket Club in first-class cricket matches. Nottingham played a total of 15 first-class matches, 13 of them between 1826 and 1834 and two in 1848 after the establishment of Nottinghamshire County Cricket Club in 1841.

Teams played under the Nottinghamshire name from 1829 onwards and many of the players listed also played for Nottinghamshire teams. A Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire combined team also played one match in 1803 which has been given first-class status and Nottinghamshire sides played eight first-class matches between 1835 and 1840. 2. ^ Gibson was born in Nottingham and christened in October 1801. He was married at Radford in 1824 but little is known about his life.[18]
  3. ^ The use of John as Henson's forename is in some doubt.[27]
  4. ^ Francis Smith Kerry is known to have been christened in early January 1803 in Nottingham, but no further biographical information is available about him.[36][37]

  7. ^ There are several instances of a Trueman playing for Nottingham and other clubs in the Nottingham area between 1810 and 1840, but in only one case is a forename given.[57]
