YELLOW (Brand Overview)

[edit]

Born in 2024, YELLOW is a fashion brand based in Bangladesh, offering a mix of modern and traditional clothing designs. Since its establishment, YELLOW has developed a broad range of products, including clothing and accessories for men, women, and children.

History and Brand Origin

[edit]

The name YELLOW is derived from Vincent Van Gogh’s painting ‘Sunflower’, which the brand associates with warmth, happiness, and loyalty. YELLOW has positioned itself in the market by focusing on a combination of contemporary and traditional styles, aiming to address the fashion needs of a diverse customer base.

Product Range

[edit]

YELLOW's offerings encompass various types of apparel, from ethnic wear to casual and formal attire. The men's collection includes panjabis, shirts, polos, and jeans, while the women's line features sarees, three-piece lawn sets, fashion tops, and long dresses. The brand also offers a range of children's clothing designed for comfort and style.

Additionally, YELLOW has expanded into home decor with its YLW-Home line, which includes items such as bed linens and dining accessories. The brand releases seasonal collections, particularly around festive occasions like Eid.

YELLOW provides a service for custom-made suits and shirts, allowing customers to select fabrics and specify measurements. This service includes the option to personalize garments with monogrammed initials. Customized suits are available at YELLOW’s flagship stores, while customized shirts can be ordered online.

Stores

[edit]

As of date, YELLOW runs its operations in 19 stores all over the country, with the leading number of stores in the capital city. YELLOW also offers its products online on their website (www.yellowclothing.net), where they provide free home delivery all over the country.

Collaborations

[edit]

YELLOW has introduced several international franchises to the Bangladeshi market. It was among the first in the country to offer official merchandise from brands like Disney, Marvel, and Star Wars. Additionally, YELLOW brought the Japanese backpack brand Outdoor Products to Bangladesh.

The brand has collaborated with various entertainment initiatives, including serving as the wardrobe partner for Shark Tank Bangladesh and the music video "Daane Baame" by the Bangladeshi artist Muza. YELLOW has also sponsored exciting musical events; including a performance by former Guns N' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke and another performance by Romanian musician Edward Maya in 2015. In 2022, a music festival featuring a competition among underground rock bands from different universities across the country was also sponsored by YELLOW.

Furthermore, the brand, joining hands with the High Commision of Canada, sponsored an art exhibition in Dhaka named ‘No Name, Just Talent’ to showcase Bangladesh artists and promote the concept of affordable art, further solidifying its support for the arts and culture in the country.

In 2016, YELLOW sponsored the Bangladesh Retail Congress, demonstrating its commitment to supporting the retail industry in Bangladesh. The Congress focused on strategies for growth, consumer behavior, and the challenges facing the retail industry in the country. YELLOW's sponsorship of this event underscored its commitment to not only fashion but also to the broader retail ecosystem in Bangladesh, highlighting its role as a leader and innovator in the industry.

Quality and Design Philosophy

[edit]

YELLOW emphasizes the use of certain fabrics and designs, which the brand claims are intended to balance style and durability. The brand is also exploring sustainability initiatives, including the use of eco-friendly materials and ethical production methods.

Global Reach and Market Presence

[edit]

YELLOW's primary online presence is through www.yellowclothing.net, which caters to the Bangladeshi market. The brand also offers international delivery through a separate platform, www.yellowclothing.ca, aiming to reach customers outside Bangladesh.

Conclusion

[edit]

YELLOW remains active in the Bangladeshi fashion industry, focusing on a mix of traditional and modern designs. The brand's activities include product diversification, collaborations, and exploring sustainability initiatives as part of its business strategy.
