Yoshiko Ōta

Yoshiko Ōta (太田淑子, Ōta Yoshiko) (born as Yoshiko Saka (阪 淑子)) (April 25, 1932 – October 29, 2021)^[1] was a Japanese voice actress from Hyogo Prefecture, affiliated with Theatre Echo.

Ōta joined Takarazuka Revue in 1947, and remained with them until 1952.^[1][2] She joined Theatre Echo in 1963.^[3]

She married fellow voice actor Osamu Saka, whom she met while a member of the Takarazuka Revue.^[1] The couple moved to Tokyo in 1964.^[2]

Ōta passed away from heart failure at the age of 89 on October 29, 2021.^[3] Her death was announced on November 9th by Theatre Echo.^[1]

In 2016, Ōta was given the Tokyo Anime Award Festival's (TAAF) Lifetime Achievement Award.^[1][3]
