Catherine Jane "Cat" Grant is a fictional character appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The character was created by Marv Wolfman and Jerry Ordway, first appearing in Adventures of Superman #424 (1987). She is a well-known gossip columnist for the Daily Planet and one of Superman's romantic interests. She works at the Planet as a reporter alongside Clark Kent, Lois Lane, Perry White, Jimmy Olsen, Steve Lombard and Ron Troupe. Although she works in Metropolis, she began her career in Los Angeles. Grant is very notable for her controversially sexy and flirty style in the workplace, which has gained her a great deal of infamy and control over weaker willed men. She even dated Kent briefly, although they broke up because he had really been in love with Lois the entire time. Her son Adam Grant was tragically murdered by Toyman.

The character was played by Tracy Scoggins in Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman and Calista Flockhart in the Arrowverse television series Supergirl. She will appear in Superman (2025), portrayed by Mikaela Hoover.
