Hengelo (Achterhooks: Hengel) is a town in the province of Gelderland, the Netherlands. 7,995 people are living there in 2022.^[1]

Hengelo lies in the Achterhoek region, and is the main seat of the municipality of Bronckhorst. It was a municipality of its own until 2005.^[2]
